Game day. Beautiful day. Think they usually have more people for games but this was supposed to be an off week plus it's 11am.

I've been to a few Husker games at Memorial Stadium, and been to The Railyard on a game day a few times as well, and let me tell you - being at the Railyard on a game day is the next best thing to actually being in the stadium. The hustle and bustle of the crowd in The Railyard is full of excitement and camaraderie. You watch the games on giant screens hung around The Railyard, and each time the Huskers score or make a great play, the crowd erupts and you may get a drink or two splashed on or around you in the hubbub (just part of the fun, get ready to get dirty and stepped on).Speaking of spilled drinks, that is one plus of watching a game at The Railyard vs. in person at the stadium - there are plenty of alcoholic drinks to enjoy, if that's your thing - and plenty of restaurants and bars around for nonalcoholic drinks and snacks too. You don't have to stick to Dr. Pepper and Valentinos here! (Memorial Stadium did recently lift their ban on alcohol sales in the stadium but that won't be in effect for a while, and you will pay an arm and a leg.)My husband actually had his bachelor party at The Railyard, watching a game and then hitting a few nearby bars. He said it was a great way to spend a day with his pals, and would recommend doing that to anyone who's a Husker fan, looking for a more chill bachelor party idea. You can eat at one of The Railyard restaurants with a patio and watch the game on the giant screens that way, or find a spot with your group and stake your claim in the middle of the yard (don't worry, it's concrete, not grass). Whichever way you decide to do it, I definitely say you should catch a game at The Railyard for the unique experience!

I had a great time the night before the Colorado game. Lots of Huskers fans and a few CU fans. Easy to have fun. Huge screen had the Packers vs Eagles game on while what I assume was a local band played cover songs from the stage below the screen. I definitely got my "Nebraska" fix in until I get back in May. People are so nice whenever I am back in the old state. Back to the Railyard. Just fun, No drama. Several bars have a window out to the yard making it almost too convenient to get more drinks. So glad Uber was doing the driving that night.

Very nice outdoor venue to watch the Nebraska football games or catch a band or dj at night. Free to attend. Lots of picnic tables and drinks. Can get wings and other food st the attached restaurants. Security guys said they open this venue all year around. In the Hay Market area.

This place is awesome. Multiple places with various beverage options. An open container area. Lots of bathrooms, a huge megaton tv. Great place to stop before the game beer the stadium or I could imagine also being an amazing spot to go for a night out. Highly recommend checking it out if you get the opportunity for one reason or another.

The Railyard is comprised of a two story squarish building with a hollow center. This center courtyard can hold events such as concerts, big screen movies, sporting events on the big screen, and a beer garden. The building part of the Railyard are restaurants and bars on two levels. It's part of the newer expansion of the Haymarket, so it's new looking and modern-not divey in the least. If you want to catch some free events or watch a big game with comradeship I suggest this venue. We watched the 2015 Women's World Cup where the USA team won, and it was a pretty awesome atmosphere to be in, celebrating with our fellow fans.

A large outdoor patio area in downtown Lincoln near the major arenas. It was a cool experience, however we stopped in on an 85 degree day with high humidity... there are no tables with umbrellas or shade anywhere so we started to get hot and uncomfortable being outside. I did like the concept of a large area to hang out with multiple bars surrounding the patio - you just go up to the bar window and order your drinks and go back to your table. They also have a large screen to watch Nebraska sporting events while you are hanging out, thus wherever you are you can see the screen!

As an outdoor space with a big screen with access to decent beer/food selections, it's pretty good. Overall, though, I think your experience at The Railyard is based on the occasion...pre-Husker game standing crush with jammin' music vs. more "structured" event where you bring your own chairs vs. pass through to get to one of the connected establishments. It's not a "meet you at the Railyard" kind of place for me without an event, but that's just me. Kudos to Lincoln, though, for having this large outdoor venue where it's OK to enjoy the sunshine (or mayhaps snow and rain) with a bevvy in one hand and a sandwich in the other. In a state not known for 300+ days of sunshine, we do like to maximize our outdoor time.

This is definitely the place to be. I would only say it is OK and not great only because it is usually too crowded and it's hard to find a seat in any of the adjoining business or get a drink. But it has a great atmosphere if you have the time to hang out. Essentially, this is what The Railyard is great for.

Great place, up and coming area. Its built in a newer area of the Haymarket. The made the place a bit more hipster and caters to all crowds. During the FIFA world cup they played all the USA games on the big screen. It has 3 different bars and an buffalo wings and rings that tries to be a sports bar. Theres 2 sushi restaurants in the area and both have a happy hour. I'm a Floridian so I have seen and experienced ay better but for Lincoln, NE this is about as good as it gets.

Went to the Randy Rogers Band last Friday night. Had an awesome time and they were excellent as usual. Only complaint is you need to turn the big screen off during shows. It takes away from the band and it is awful bright and distracting. Other than that it is a great place for a show.
