The Papillion Taco Guy

Our first time trying this place out and we weren't let down. We went for the " one of each" order, one chicken, one pork, and one brisket. They smoke all of their meats on site and everything was very flavorful, good portions. The smoke really came through in the chicken taco. The toppings were great though a little too juicy for us...you'll need lots of napkins if you get all the toppings. No real seating inside, just a small bar seating areas, and two tables outside. The staff were very friendly though looked like just two people taking care of business. We'll be back.

We stopped for a quick bite to eat. We both had a smoked brisket taco. It was very good with cilantro sour cream and a sweet chili sauce. My friend doesn't like cilantro but she said it was such a small amount in the sour cream that it was good. The sweet chili sauce was a great flavor for the taco!!! A bit pricey for a taco. A small menu easy to decide. Only bottle soda, no fountain. There isn't anywhere to sit inside but there are a couple chairs and tables outside and it was a nice evening to sit outside and it is in the shade. Service was quick and they will bring your food outside to you. I would probably go again for a snack!

Stopped in for a quick bite at the Taco Guy in Papillion. A small quaint place where the cooks and staff are polite and happy to see you. Very limited indoor seating. This is the same Taco Guy who used to be in the town center park with a Taco cart only now in a brick and mortar store front. I took my foodie in-training teenager with me to see what the hype was all about. They run a very simple menu, three types of tacos. Chicken, brisket and pork. We tried the All 3 combo ($13) to sample and review them all. A little pricey for tacos but we love supporting small businesses. So we are okay with paying a bit extra for good food and service.Rank ordered from best to just okay. Pork, Brisket and then the chicken. Tacos were fresh and made on the spot. A good mix of cool cilantro sour cream and a good back end heat of their hot sauce. I would recommend just go with the pork. Order them to-go and sit in the town center park across the street for a pleasant afternoon lunch or early dinner. While it doesn't measure up to the authentic South O, Latino district street tacos, this place a great place to get a delicious bite to eat while in Papillion for the day.

I have always wanted to try this place! It's a nice little spot, real cozy. The service was very friendly. I think I had different expectations of the tacos. It was kinda pricey. I also was expecting something a little more authentic and with more options of tacos. They were still okay, I just felt like they were real basic and more or less something you'd make at home for a family taco night. I don't know if anyone has seen Kieth from The Try Guys online. But the White People Taco night song and vibe comes to mind. I did try the try one of each, with everything on them. Added hot sauce. I didn't even feel the heat from the hot sauce. Overall it just was not for me and if you're looking for more authentic Mexican tacos, I'd skip this place.

Grabbed quick tacos while having some drinks across the street. Fantastic!!! The Thai sweet chili had just the right amount of heat.

What's not to love? Excellent Tacos, friendly service and supporting local community business. I'd recommend the combo of three tacos (smoked chicken, smoked pork, and smoked brisket).The shells were not too thick (I'm picky about shells so that was a big win for me),the meat flavorful and I particularly loved the cilantro lime sour cream.If you are looking for a kick of heat try out their signature hot sauce. It is sourced from peppers from South Africa and cut w some acv for a nice tangy finish. I came here on opening day so they are just getting started w decor etc. I def recommend checking this place out.*Note* this is really a to-go style restaurant. Seating is very limited.

Glad I finally got to try this place. Far from your plain old taco. The meats are all smoked and they even have jackfruit! The topping combinations are amazing. Sweet Thai chili and cilantro sour cream? It's truelly addicting. Well done.

Really disappointed with our visit today. Service was terrible. Server was overwhelmed and totally unqualified to work anywhere. He couldn't even correctly count change from a cash payment. Waited over 20 minutes for an order that was of poor quality. Brisket tacos were very salty. Chicken tacos were good. Most food was cold. Taco shells were both overtoasted and undertoasted. No diet drinks. No seating available. Establishment was lacking ambiance. Had previously visited this taco stand at Werner Park which had excellent service and high quality food. Absolutely no comparison to the meal today. Our advice -- stay away from the Papillion location..

The tacos are so yummy! The smoked brisket one is my favorite :) I love that sweet chili sauce on the tacos as well. I'm so happy they opened a store!
