The Paddock

I've been going to the paddock since I was 6 or 7, and although my needs have changed from just Breyer horses to tall boots and helmets the paddock has had exactly what I need every time and if they don't they always order it. They have inclusive sizing, name brands and bargain brands for both horse and rider, goodies and essentials.The staff in this store really goes above and beyond, I've been overwhelmingly impressed with them especially recently.

The Paddock is our second go to for our horseback riding needs. They have everything one would need on a larger scale than Regg and Wally's. They are also more centrally located for those who live in more central or midtown Omaha and still need things for horses or horseback riding. Last time we were here, we got someChristmas gifts for our horse and chickens. My daughter got some winter riding breeches and some gloves. They do gift wrapping with purchase, too!

I love this place! It is a little bit far from Lincoln, but if you are looking for anything English for your riding, this is the place! There is a HUGE selection of riding attire at very reasonable prices, tack, bridles, bits, halters....plenty of show needs. This is a great one stop place to go when getting ready for shows such as the Cornhusker Classic. And, the store is big and uncrowded with a nice selection of sizes (even wide calf boots).The people are very sweet and so helpful without being pushy. I always need to give myself extra time because I always end up in some sort of "chat" though...but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.This store is definitely "Cinny Approved."

Never greeted when entering the store anymore since the staff change, three of five staff members never mask when I enter--including the current manager Darby--store is under stocked more than what is to be expected even with covid shortages and has been for almost a year. Asked if they were going to be getting any of the basic items back in and was told "we might" with a nasty tone. Getting a customer order is like pulling teeth and when it was finally done it was the wrong item despite a perfect note being left. Staff is no longer knowledgeable and only one person is able to assist properly with fittings. It's still one of two English tack stores in a three state radius but until it turns around I'd recommend Reg and Wally's instead or asking about orders at Wolf Brothers. Both places are happy to order in for you, unlike the manager at The Paddock.
