The Old Pub

A great little bar. I stopped in while visiting town. It was an easy 3 min walk from the Cornhusker Hotel. The bartender was fast and friendly. Drinks were very reasonable and there were plenty of TVs to watch the game. Also, it's away from the craziness of Hay Market but in the downtown area.Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely stop in again.

Service is always A+, the vibes are always A+, and the times had are always A+. Love this bar, just like that country song.

I was in need for a good Bloody Mary and the first Yelp review I read said this was the best in town. I will say that it was quite good and came with a Miller High Life sidecar. The bartender was very nice and friendly, as were the folks in the bar. The prices were great and the atmosphere is right up my alley. I had a great conversation with some regulars before making my way out. Thanks for a nice diversion and I will come back at the next opportunity.

Small-town bar located in downtown Lincoln. The regulars are plentiful and welcoming to newcomers. Always a couple interesting local beers on draft, and the bartenders make a delicious Old Fashioned. Free popcorn. Televisions scattered and turned to sports but not in an obnoxious way. Do not go expecting glitz, do expect the basics delivered with no drama and a gentle welcome.

This is the best bar in Lincoln. No competition. Great seats for your butt, great great sound system. Low cost drinks. I don't want you to go to this bar. Cuz I want to keep it down low. But because I'm honest. Nothing compares. Keep it between you and me. wink.

I love The Old Pub! It has a ton of regulars of all ages and professions that give it a neighborhood bar feel. The bar is a long bar that seats 15-18 people. There are 5 or 6 tall top tables that seat 4 comfortably with additional seating of regular tables as well. There are 6 tv's generally showing varous sporting events and internet radio music as well as a jukebox. Drink prices are super cheap especially for a downtown bar. They are known for their Bloody Mary's with mix that is made in house. A favorite of Husker tailgaters!Tuesday and Friday nights are busy nights and a lot of fun to hang out and drink with anyone you happen to sit by.The bar is open 7 days a week at noon. Happy hour is 3-7 Monday through Friday and they have $2.50 domestics and wells. After 7 each night has it's own drink special. Friday night the owner provides some sort of food around 5 that's free. During football season home game days there is also food for tailgaters.The bar is probably the cleanest bar I have ever been in. It is obvious the owner cares about the bar and it's business.

I love the Old Pub. The staff is friendly, they have a wide variety of beers to try, and the best Bloody Mary in town. A good drink not just a lot of garnish. It is where I go for an after work drink.

Stopped in for a drink (had not your father's root beer - not my thing but always good to mix it up and try new things) & played some pinball this past summer. Was a bit quiet but folks that seemed like regulars (from even prior location - diehard!) were nice & friendly. I think there was darts too - could be a cool place to check out later at night and see what that's like. Only knocked it a star as prices seemed a tad high for what it is.

Just need to say that the folks here are about the friendliest in town. I am not a regular, but the couple of times I have been in, the service has been outstanding. The popcorn ain't bad either. Thank you!
