The Mercato

I'm so excited Mercato expanded into Omaha! It's nice to have a specialty butcher shop nearby.I came in for some beef short ribs - they primarily sell Piedmontese beef and ended up leaving with that plus some amazing jalepeno cheddar bread, whiskey pepper butter and smoked cheese!I would pass on the cheese...it was like Smokey nacho cheese but all other items were outstanding. Also looking forward to the addition of their small restaurant serving paninis and pastries. Great local business to shop that sources their beef from Nebraska.

We dropped in this evening as it has been a number of months sincee our last visit. They have expanded on their selections. Top quality items and priced reasonably for the quality you get. The help we received in selecting our items was terrific. I was impressed and will be back in a week or so.

What a great discovery! I had a coupon so went to the store to check things out. If ambiance were the only thing to judge it would rate 5 stars. I purchased several of the prepared meals. Each one was so tasty and each served two or more. We also got the burgers and brats. So far both match the best we've had.. service is friendly and knowledgeable. Will return soon.
