The Lexington Assisted Living Center

Lexington truly cares for its residents and staff. I have never walked into a place where the employees were humming or smiling or residents with the same happy attitude. Lexington is always clean and relaxing. They have some real gems there, including their hairstylist!

In touring their facility, the apartments are very nice and a great option to consider for your loved one. However, be very careful and wary of the admission process. There was a lack of expertise on the part of their admission coordinator in guiding us through this process. We completed the initial assessment through them and she was approved to move in. We were told all along it was not time for my mother to be assessed for the Medicaid waiver until we had a move in date, so we waited because we had to acquire her furnishings with her current income. At that time, I asked and was given no indication whatsoever that she would not meet the Medicaid waiver; However it was not time to do it. While I understand that the facility can not make this determination for certain, they should not be making assumptions or false promises. Furthermore if they had concerns regarding her qualifying, that would have been nice to know. Fast forward to months later. A new admission coordinator takes over and begins reviewing our application and tells me she does not think my mother will qualify for waiver. Long story short, she did not and we could have easily figured that out months prior if it wasn't for their miscommunication. Now I have a bed on layaway and a room full of items and we are starting over at square one. I would say still consider it as an option but don't leave anything up to them. Do everything for yourself and proceed with caution.

Layout of the building. Cleanliness. Privacy . Several staff have been here over a year. I am more than happy with the Lexington Assisted Living. I think too many residents and their families consider this a care center and their expectations of services provided are unreasonable.

I've never been treated so means and ugly as this place treated me and my family. One of the night manner was constantly trying to steal my medications and several of my personal items was stolen from my room. The help is constantly complaining about being underpaid and there is a lot of turnover. Most of the residents only leave there rooms for dining and spend most of their time in their rooms alone. The management and owner seemed to be only concerned with making money they are not nice people. This is not a happy place for your loved ones I would not recommend this place for anyone I loved
