The Good Life Sports Bar & Grill - Papillion

My family loves coming to The Good Life when we want a casual, laid-back lunch or dinner. We brought our out-of-state family here last weekend for the full Nebraska experience and it didn't disappoint. This place is definitely an Omaha staple and one of the best sports bars in town. The smashed mac was great and I'm obsessed with their good life fries. Not a fan of their pickles, they taste a bit off to me, but that's my only complaint. Our waitress was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Their big outdoor patio with lights is perfect for summer hangouts. Just a heads-up if there's a Nebraska game, good luck finding a table it gets PACKED!

I can't say that we have every had a bad experience here. It is a great restaurant with helpful staff that runs specials each day of the week. We like Tuesday for obvious Taco Tuesday deals. They have good wings and burgers too for the other deal days. The only caution I have is that this is a popular location, and it is "seat yourself" so sometimes it is hard to find a seat.

I'll begin by saying I would return although the experience could have been better. The bar is spacious. Plenty of televisions and a large bar. Visited on Christmas Eve. Sizable crowd although not full. It is advertised as a sports bar, but not many guests were watching sports on tv that night. I consider this a neighborhood restaurant for families and friends. My friend ordered the GL-style Good Life wings and fries. He said they were good. I ordered the single patty Blaze burger and waffle fries. It had queso, jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. Nice burger, but I expected more spice. I will ask for more jalapeños if I order it again. Nice extensive menu so I will also be tempted to order something else. Good value. Upon paying the bill we discovered my friend had received a different beer other than he had ordered. He said it tasted different than normal but he thought it had to do with the barrel so never said anything. Other than the beer mixup, service was very good and the waitress was personable.

Food was good portion sizes. Ordered the Volcano Tots, the Gouda Mac and cheese could have used more cheese but it was still very good, it is always a favorite. Wife ordered the Buffalo Cream cheese pizza and it was delicious, full of toppings. The cheese and sauce had a good ratio. Same with the meat lovers pizza, had a lot of toppings. Waitress was decent, didn't come around very much, but she was friendly. The atmosphere was good, the tables were clean and not sticky. The only thing that doesn't make it a 5 star is they charge for ranch.

First of, the service was wonderful! Just that would bring us back. I had wings with siracha bourbon sauce. These might be the best wings I've ever had. My daughter had a cheese pizza and my husband had a hangover burger. Everything was delicious! We sat on the deck outside which is partially covered and on the second story. This is important because you get some shade and it's high enough up that you don't get a lot of bugs. Also, a small thing that really impressed me was these drink holders in the bathroom. WHY DONT ALL BARS HAVE THESE?!

Brunch at a sports bar - not your usual go to bit at Good Life, it should be!! The breakfast was scrumptious - 3 Eggs breakfast was hot and delicious . Great morning OJ screwdriver or Bloody Mary to start. Fast. Friendly bar service with a great view of the game on the big screen. Nect time it's time for brunch this place will be a first pick!

Good food! The wings are great! I recommend Good Life Style, double dipped (extra saucy)!

Brunch time! $2 mimosas, the burrito and great friends. What more could you want? Their prices and food quality were great. The server was attentive without being in your face. I would definitely go here for a pre football day meal and cheap (but delicious) mimosas.

I just wanted to update my review to let everyone know that they have a few new menu items. What I know you don't know barking at him. I'm sad they took away my fajita burrito, but they brought my wife's chicken fried chicken dinner plate to the menu full-time so I'm happy for her. We tried the Frickles what, and they were great. The pickles were thinly sliced, fried up crispy, and served with their zesty ranch.

The Good Life is the best after 9pm, when virtually all of the appetizers are $6.99 and there are late night drink specials!
