So, did you know that there was amazing luxury housing on the east side of O Street in Lincoln? I'm so glad I learned about The Flats at Shadow Creek when I did. I've lived here for a bit now and think this place deserves an outstanding review. Why? I'll tell you.First off, the management team are the nicest people. Hannah, Gage, Briauna - you rock! They're super responsive to questions and concerns and are the friendliest people I've met in all of Lincoln and Omaha. It's clear that they want you living your very best life here.I'm always stressed out by moving. Thankfully, the application and approval process was super quick and the contract told me exactly what to expect. It is a CIP property, so expect a corporate experience. I mention this, because sometimes people are intimidated by that. However, Hannah and the team put such an amazing human face to it all. Great customer service!Let's talk people. It's a real community here at The Flats, so you're expected to get along with everyone and follow the rules. I've lived in some interesting places throughout my life, so I know how interesting people can be. I can tell you that the folks at The Flats are a pleasant collection of families and professionals. Shadow Creek as a whole is like that. Families, puppies, and tranquil greenery. Lincoln is generally safe, but I gotta say that living around literally zero crime and noise has been so refreshing. The Flats are relatively hidden by the virtue of the location, so it's almost like your very own private resort on an island. There's nothing I love more than waking up in my spacious apartment here and going for a morning swim at the exclusive pool or a workout in the fitness center before I get online with my super-fast Allo internet for the busy life. If you work remote, this is your paradise. I'm very happy I moved here.A secret from me to you - if you're reading this in August 2020, a lot of the apartments that are being advertised right now are *brand new*. That means fresh walls and floors and quite fancy appliances with plastic just removed. I don't know about you, but I very much enjoy being the first to live somewhere; a space uniquely mines from the start and such a space at that.I saw my current home once and immediately sealed the deal. I consider renting here at The Flats at Shadow Creek one of the best choices I've ever made. The peace of mind that living here brings is absolutely priceless.

I moved here over the summer, and despite a slim landscape of available apartments in the entire area, the CIP team worked flawlessly with me to find a way to get me into an affordable apartment on the ground floor, which I need for mobility issues.I've never lived in a place where you hear so little of your neighbors. Whoever designed this place knows that noise needed to be limited as much as possible. While no apartment will ever get vault silence, it's 100X lower a volume than the last property I lived in. There's a sense of community here with people who gather in driveways and the dog park and look out for each other. You can communicate through a social chat on the rent payment page, which is a refreshing task since my last apartment banned any kind of neighbor support system. I was really bummed to be leaving South Lincoln, but this location is surprisingly great. You are far enough away from the noise of O Street while still being minutes from the heart of everything. Easy access to I-80 is a plus as well. The people who work here are so nice! My last apartment if I stopped by the office it was seen as an annoyance, but here - you get to chat and hang out, even getting free subs and a way to meet neighbors. There's also a nice mix of the college crowd, working professionals, families, and retirees. The apartment space is well thought out, and the fridges have ice makers and water! So far, I absolutely love it here and I look forward to meeting more neighbors.
