The Feed Mill Restaurant

Don't pass it by! And it may be a little out of the way but it is worth it. Very clean, nicely updated, friendly staff and service. And our food was marvelous. The Mac and cheese is super creamy and so much flavor. The pork tenderloin sandwich was hefty and flavorful. And they didn't skimp on portions and prices are pretty reasonable as everything was delicious. Didn't have a chance to ask who this was but a very respectful gentleman checked on us and everyone else in the restaurant. Really cool that our server was the daughter of the owner and that they have a whole set of stores in the family. Oh and they have WiFi haha

An absolutely amazing place for weary travelers, adventurers, TRUCKERS and locals. Service, food, atmosphere all A+!

Passed by this place about a month ago and decided to stop by and have some lunch between mud bog races in Gray and Winterset today. The place is absolutely spotless and so clean! Ethan was our server and was very soft spoken but extremely nice and attentive! Beth, the COO, was running around helping out in the feed mill. She was extremely friendly and let us know that the whole place is family owned and operated. My fiancé and I each ordered the breaded tenderloin for lunch, he had fries and I had cheese curds as my side. The cheese curds were piping hot and delicious! The tenderloin was phenomenal! The breading was crispy and flavorful. The veggies on top, lettuce, onion and tomato, were fresh and added an excellent dimension to the sandwich. The best thing is that this restaurant is on the 2021 tenderloin trail! So stop by and enjoy the rustic atmosphere, excellent food and extremely friendly staff. I can't wait to be back!

Stopped in here while traveling through. A plaza that has car and truck washes and a full gas station. Since it's on the tenderloin trail for 2020 bonus. I have been in some expensive restaurants that were not as well kept as this establishment. Very clean and staff is very friendly. Furnishings are rustic themed and not the cheap kind either. For instance the silverware is some of the strongest, and heaviest I've used in ages. Not the cheap tinny kind most places have. Full bar, breakfast all day, and a delicious tenderloin. What else can you ask for?? Prices are very reasonable and food is flavorful.

So good!!! Not only was the food delicious but the service was magnificent! Without a doubt the best service we have ever received. Huge kuddos to our waitress and the bus boy. They did amazing

This place is to expensive for the little bit of food you get. The manager is snotty and rude. I would not recommend stopping here.

Was there New Years Eve 2024. The food was awful. My husband had shrimp was to be lightly breaded it came with two sides,he had salad bar said it was shrimp was heavily breaded. I had the hot beef. Don't care for instant potatoes, envelope gravy, roast beef was stringy and dry. Was not a good meal for the price. The prices were very high. They add a gratuity to the bill which we didn't realize and let an additional tip for a bad meal they still get the gratuity. I want to tip based on my service and meal. Will never go back bad experience.

A group of about 12 of us. I'm speaking for myself tho. Service was great had the tables set up for us. Everything on the menu looked great. I had Grilled cheese & Fries. I know pretty simple but it was the best I have ever eaten. Salad bar was bountiful & really fresh. Others in our group ordered meat with Mac & Cheese. I tasted my husband's and it was super creamy and yummy. Servers were great and kept up checking all was going well at our tables. Really great place to eat and we will be back!

Great restaurant very clean. Food was amazing staff was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to go back breakfast all day!!!
