The Coffee Roaster

It's the people...The variety is excellent - whatever you like in coffee, whether you know what you want and stick to it or you're a novice, trying to find your thing or you're adventurous, looking for a new thing... they have it. But that's not why I give this place 5 stars. The space itself is excellent. It's comfortable, cozy and inviting, despite a tricky location. It's well designed and lit and has a giant window to view that actual roaster. But that's not why I give it five stars. The people love coffee... Like, they looooooove coffee! And they know coffee. I went in and they said "How can we help you?" And I said "I want to buy coffee, but I don't know what I want." And both employees lit up. They know the coffee language AND how to explain it to a novice without making you feel like a novice. And the more feedback you give, the better their next suggestion will be.The team here is camped right at the intersection of passion and knowledge and their love for it is contagious. I look forward to emptying a bag - yes, because it's delicious - but also so I can go in and talk to them again!

Wow I use to drive by here for years but never actually went! I'm so upset that it took me this long to go in! The staff are so knowledgeable and friendly! The coffee is really good as others have mentioned, I LOVe that their coffee doesn't have that after taste when you drink it, it has a clean bold taste which is very hard to find in coffee!! my favorite part is that you can buy grounds here WHOLE or ground but if you bring back the coffee bag you get a discount, and they seem to have a lot of regulars that come in! The staff was also friendly enough to give me a whole cup of coffee to sample which was so kind. Highly recommend coming here

Excellent selections of beans and coffee drinks. We're actually searching for food options but this is a great find and we'll be back for more.

When you step into the store, you will instantly feel like you are part of the community and supporting such an amazing business. They have a great selection of coffee from all over the world roasted in small batches daily, treats from businesses in the community, and special collaborations with local talent.

I'm not saying the coffee at church was the REASON we chose to attend, but it DID confirm our decision. Having moved to Lincoln from Seattle, we immediately asked what brand of coffee the church served: The Coffee Roaster. It's also one of my favorite school fundraisers to support!

Great coffee roasted on site and imported from all over the world. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable with respect to coffee cultivation and production. They make well informed recommendations. Best whole bean coffee available in Lincoln, NE.

Don't sleep on the best beans in town! Not to mention, the coolest and most helpful staff in town! The quality of the beans are absolutely superb and will have your friends asking you to host a coffee date.

Good freshly roasted beans and friendly service. Don't be put off by it's location, the drab surroundings are in contrast with quality of the beans and service.
