The Cellar Sports Bar & Grill

Been a long time since I have been here, pretty sure. B comes in more often on business lunches. Today, this is actually our Plan B spot. First choice wasn't open. So a carrot cake slice first. Is good. Nothing beyond. Burger and another sandwich option have been requested. All is good. This has been a long time 'watering hole' for local business crowd. Not sure if still is. We are not part of.

We had heard kind of luke warm reviews but being who we are, we decided to give it a try. The food was very good and cooked to order, plenty of onion rings ( their specialty). She had the chef salad which was good but easily could have been shared. Wait staff was great. We were there in the late afternoon so not very busy. The acoustics could make conversations tough when they are busy. ( concrete floor, overhead music speakers and alot of tv's )Personally we didnt need another sports bar, we need a place with good food and quiet conversation.

First time visiting since it reopened. I miss the character of the former restaurant. The service was great. The food was average - with four different items tasting pretty much the same. I probably won't go back.

I debated between a 2 and 3 for this restaurant. We used to stop there occasionally when we were in Kearney, but it had been quite awhile. I guess it's under new ownership and had fairly recently reopened after a big remodel. To be honest, I liked the vibe and decor better before. This seemed, small, kind of sterile looking, and was very loud. It was hard to carry on conversations at our table unless we shouted. If the weather had been warmer, it would've been nicer to sit outdoors. The menu wasn't huge, but should have some options for about everyone. The onion rings had a unique batter on them, and we liked it. It was pretty expensive for the amount we got though. My husband and I split two different burgers. One was a mushroom swiss burger and the other unique one was a crab rangoon one. We asked for medium burgers, but they are definitely well-done. We would've sent them back, but it had already taken a really long time to get our food. Neither one was very flavorful. The sauce on the crab Rangoon one overpowered the other flavors. I ordered the $2 upcharged house salad instead of the tots or fries that were included. The salad was a huge disappointment, very small, wilty bagged lettuce with cut up, flavorless tomatoes, and maybe a teaspoon of shredded cheddar cheese sprinkled on top. Our server was a nice guy, but maybe not the most efficient yet. I wish them well, but I think they're going to have to make some changes to be successful.

Have visited this establishment twice. Food is good for a local sports pub. Have had burgers and the Buffalo chips which are awesome. I will continue to frequent this place. I like the remodel and the food is worth a visit. Nothing fancy here just good bar food and a casual atmosphere.

I love the onion rings, but at $13.00 you should get more than 13 onion rings.The house salad is way overpriced for what you get. I'm glad to have them back but really....

Recommended for the onion rings and they lived up to the hype! The appetizers were the best part of the meal!

I will not go back . Not impressed with any of it. Made so much hype about the reopening and it turned out to be a dud restaurant

Went to lunch at The Cellar today. The atmosphere was so great, our waitress was incredible and the food was even better!! Check it out! highly recommend!!

I would never go back to this place. We have waited 1 hour 36 minutes and still have no food. There are a lot of empty tables so there is no excuse for this kind of service. We have little kids in our party and they are getting very impatient and hungry. Update 1 hour 51 minutes. 1/2 the food is out and some of the little kids still don't have their food. 2 hours 3 minutes we finally got all our food.
