I rely on Ted's for my mower, chainsaw, and snowblower services. They are always very thorough, the tools run great afterward, and the prices are fair. Granted, they can be curmudgeons about some things like parts returns and fast turn-arounds when they're swamped, but having been in a small business myself I understand and I respect their effort. They do good work.

I had a couple of damaged pole saws and took them into J&J small engine repair - they said repairs would cost more with parts and labor than purchasing a new one - no charge from J&J.Called Teds Mower and they looked at them and said they could probably repair them for a reasonable price and promised they would look at them in a day or two. Well a week or two goes by and no call, so I call them and they indicated they haven't had a chance to get to them. After a few days they call and tell me it will cost almost as much to repair them as a new one cost. I told them to put them back together so I could sell them on craigslist - they sounded upset on the phone to me about the reassembly but completed it and complained all the way to my pickup about having to reassemble them. I was shocked they charged me $139.10 to give me back my saws in the same shape I brought them in. They openly complained to me they had no room to store my saws and needed me to get in there right away to pay for an pick them up - I went in when I got time to do so but in the meantime they kept calling me and seemed to me quite rude. Funny how they work... they say they will get to my saws in a day or two, then 2 weeks go by and I have to make a call to them to find out nothing's been done. I got my saws back and decided to sell them for about what I paid Teds Mower to take them apart and tell me what J&J already told me w/o charging me a thing. I thought I'd try a new place, but after my experience I don't plan on ever going back to Teds mover again.

0 stars-This servicer is very rude and racist. I was talking in the phone explaining my issue and for some reason this lady accused me of yelling. I don't know if her phone was up too loud or what. Why would no take my product here if they are not even nice over the phone.

these other reviewers sound like family. Ted's Team represented to me and my father they were nothing but jerks. We tried to buy a mower from them and they told me it was my fault for not getting the help I needed because their time was more important than mine. This is the first mention of a company that disrespects its customers and takes them for granted. The female started lecturing me on what I need to do to be their customer. Then, an elderly man tells me they have "millions of customers" which a blatant lie trying to rationalize why he ignores customers who wanted to do business with them.

Ted's has always consistently provided great service while also getting jobs completed very quickly as well. I was a little hesitant the first time I came here because there front of the store seemed a little disorganized and the office looked a little disorganized as well. But they have always gotten jobs done on time and many times earlier than what they said. I have been to other lawnmower repair places in the past before finding Ted's and wish I would have always gone to Ted's due to their great quality and professional staff. Overall I am really impressed with Ted's so far and I recommend ted's for all your small engine repair needs and purchases!

Charged me $30 to tell me the snowblower would cost about $400 to fix. It wouldn't take much for them to just be up front and tell me not to waste either of our time or money. I was expecting something more reasonable than $165 for an oil change and tuneup and another $200 for new paddles

Be warned: $30 estimation fee! This is not communicated up front. My push mower was discharging white smoke from exhaust and running rough. After a few days, they called and told me that a full tune up "will probably fix it". $180 for the tune up, need $150 down to begin work. That's close to buying a new mower, so no thanks. Still had to pay the $30 estimation fee to get my mower back.

I'm done with Ted's, never going to do business there. Both times I spoke to Ted I got the same bad impression. I'll do facts first then opinions. Also, the 5 star reviews look suspicious, some look copied and pasted-no specifics. On 9/07/2019 around noon I walked in needing a front wheel bearing for a tiger cub. Ted asked if he could help, I told him why I was there and he pointed at the counter and said they can get you and walked away. They didn't have the bearing in stock but could order $16 (the counter girl was pleasant and helpful). They had the whole wheel $112, I asked if I bought two could they do any better on the price, she referred to Ted and he said no before she finished asking. "Not really any markup on those". Internally I didn't care for the lack of consideration and was perturbed. I know they have better pricing for the company I worked for-it was for me and I don't work there so I didn't try to use it. I looked up the wheels on Amaz##.c0m $180 for two, the bearing $5. So Ted, I walked in to buy $25 worth of parts you didn't have, I was going to spend $112 to get me going today and since you had the second wheel and I didn't really want a mismatch, I was going to buy both $225. Because $200 more than I needed to spend was based on impatience and vanity, I asked if there was any break I could get to rationalize an impractical purchase on my part. I don't do business with one sided people that won't give an inch. By the way, I was there in May, I left and bought a trimmer and backpack blower that day from another local business. 10 days later I bought the 48" orange mower I needed a part for today. I don't remember the specifics, but I know you rubbed me the wrong way-I felt like you have your agenda despite what a customer wants and if they don't want to buy an $8k + piece of equipment-they're a waste of time.

Not impressed, I bought a mower from them, sure it was as is, I worked with the mechanic to purchase a pre owned more the "fixed up" to sell. Ran fine in the small demo I had, the mechanic was very curtious, when I decided to purchase he walked me to the counter to purchase and the old guy was rude to him thinking his time was more important to him, though the mechanic just landed a 1250 dollar sale. Anywho after some very non personal transactions I was on my way. Took the mower home, tested it out and mowed my quarter acre yard just fine, next week, I tried to mow and the right tire would not reverse(hydro), I called them and told them the issue, they were very short on the phone, leaning on the fact I bought as is, ok they were right but make stuff right, I had to back the mower in my trailer to transport and that's what the mower couldn't do. Since I'm down 1250 plus taxes I wanted any break I could get, ted quoted 59 to pick up mower, lady on phone insisted 69, i said ted said, its TEDS MOWERS, so she 'honored it' though said said it in a tone that I was getting a favorThey picked it up, fixed it brought it back, was a estimated 20 dollar charge cuz they put the wrong pin in initially before I bought it and set me with that bill and the 59 to pick up, an extra 83 totalHere's the kicker, they double charged my credit card the 59 pick up so I had to call to get a refund, a week or so later I checked and they only refunded 53, I said I'm done, writing a bad review, stay away from Slimy Teds
