Taste of India

I recently got take out from Taste of India and I found it to be quite good. I had the butter chicken, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas. The butter chicken was delicious but the seasoned rice really made it shine. The veggie samosas were jam packed with filling and had a nice flaky pastry and the garlic naan was a perfect way to mop up all the leftovers! I'd certainly order from here again

We can in the back way and not stressed to pull off and into the parking lot. It looks just like it did on the outside as it was 15 or 20 years ago! We walking right in and it was the same but maybe painted. It's very clean and tight as you can stretch your arms and touch both walls. There were choices to sit a we came early. We were greeted by a nice waiter and then looked at all the wonderful dishes to choose from. I showed the waiter the Yelp add and he didn't want to honor it feigning that he didn't know why Yelp did that and wasn't going to honor it but then took my choice. I chose Lamb Korma and John chose Chicken Tikka Korma with Tandoori Roti. As you can see in the picture it isn't Tandoori Roti. That lead to an argument but when I referred to the menu there was muttering an off to the kitchen again. The rice and Kormas were so good, we will forgive them for messing up. Perhaps adding air conditioning might help everyone!:) love it here though.

Our first time visiting and the place couldn't have been more charming. It feels bigger, and is much nicer on the inside. The guys running the place are working hard, but it sounded like they were enjoying their work. Biju was our server and was so very nice, recommending appetizers and entrees with pride.We enjoyed both the vegetable and meat samosas to start. Both were very good, but I again decided potatoes in samosas get mushy.The naan breads, the cheese naan and the Kashmiri naan were both done correctly, but the Kashmiri is so good we could have skipped the cheese naan.We tried the mulligatawny soup. Interestingly, it's a thinner base than their primary competitor's in Omaha, but I enjoyed it. It had all the flavor necessary, with less of that glue texture some versions have.We enjoyed the shrimp madrasa and chicken saag. Again, both seemed thinner based, less heavy as compared to Jaipur. We do love Jaipur, so I would say both restaurants do a nice job with these dishes, yet the differ in style.Priced well for the taste, quality, and service. We look forward to returning soon. It was a great experience.I rarely give 5 stars, but Taste of India was as close as they come to five stars.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I ordered Chicken Briyani for lunch which was very dry. Rice was hard and was not fresh at all. Raita that came with Briyani was sweet and stale. May be their other foods are good but Would not recommend Briyani.I have had briyani in so many Indian restaurants here in Omaha. Sorry but this was the worst briyani ever.

Okay, the look of the restaurant seems poor. But the food is excellent. I had Chicken Vindaloo (extra spicy) and Naan bread (with an extra order of rice). It was spicy and wonderful. The Naan bread was hot and tasty. Highly recommend this Indian restaurant.

Taste of India delivered lunch via DoorDash recently. I was surprised by how quickly it arrived and it was piping hot! I ordered vegetable samosas, papadam, mulligatawny soup, and butter naan. I was given a choice of spice and chose the lowest one. The samosas were still a bit crunchy on the outside despite the styrofoam box, since they were delivered so quickly. The tasty potato pea filling was very good. The naan was foil-wrapped with four big pieces, also very good. I liked the soup too, with naan dipped in it. I'm saving some for later to dip with papadam. Papadam was a little blah alone, but many crackers are. The sauce was puzzling. It was bright green, almost fluorescent with not much flavor. It didn't add anything to any of the foods as I dipped them. If I order again, I'll skip the papadam, but everything else hit the spot.

Amazing food. Kind service.I've been here two or three times now and I wish I could come back for seconds every time. Granted, I would likely have some if I were capable of leaving leftovers. Every dish smells just as good as it tastes and the staff always make sure to get every part of your order just right. I brought a friend here for the first time tonight, and while we argued over who would pay, our server not only left to give us a moment, but came back with dessert. Much love for Taste of India.

Always great good. Good service. Nice people. Lots of great options for good haven't had one bad thing yet! Small inside but great for just picking up food.
