El Rey makes the best tacos in town. My favorites are the asada, pastor, and pollo versions. Their tacos are what you would expect from a Mexican taqueria. No stinking flour tortillas here. Prompt and pleasant service. Minus one star for their agua frescas, which are too heavy and sweet. But they do have Mexican Cokes. Highly recommended.

I got an order of the 4 asada tacos, which were pretty much just alright. I am a firm believer that a truck is the best place to get a taco, and it definitely passes that baseline. However, I don't think it's anything special compared to a lot of other places in town. The meat is very well seasoned and flavorful, but a little bit dry & sometimes chewy. Two of the tortillas in my box were delicious and the other two were soggy. The salsas have a nice flavor to them, spicy but not too spicy. The service was really fast today, and my food was ready within 5 or so minutes. The girl working was also very friendly. $14 for 4 tacos does seem a little steep for pretty basic street tacos, especially compared to other places in town. I'll go here again because it's convenient for my location and the tacos aren't bad at all, but it's definitely not my top pick for a taco truck in town.

2 of my friends and I got tortas from here and ended up getting food poisonin. I was skeptical about this place and now I know why. don't eat here unless you want to sit by a toilet all day having stuff coming out both ends at once. happened to all 3 of us who ate there. grown men with thick stomachs.

We've been getting food from the Taqueria El Rey Food Truck for quite a few years. I was skeptical at first. Who gets food from a food truck in the No Frills parking lot. A friend recommended it so we tried it out. I would say we have enjoyed most of what we have had there. Our favorites are the tacos and the quesadillas. The quesadillas have ALOT of cheese and are delicious. They come with iceberg lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. They have a creamy green salsa that is perfect on the side. We have had the tortas and burritos and although they were fine they aren't something that we have ordered many of. I know some other reviewers are hating on the staff. My opinion is that the counter people usually don't speak really great English. If you are friendly, smiling and nice, you get a smile back. I have no complaints about the service. If you need a quick cheap dinner, head to the Taqueria El Rey Food Truck. It will do the job!

Definitely my favorite taco truck north of Dodge, this Taqueria El Rey satellite truck offers a limited menu of all your favorites. Ya know, tacos, tortas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas. My go to is usually two azada tacos ($2 each), made fresh right in front of you, as traditional Mexican street food should be. The meat is piping hot and served in a double corn tortilla and topped with cilantro and onion. Add a dash of lime and a few dabs of their house-made salsa and you get, well, something so simple and delicious I could eat it every day.

So someone in my class, whose originally from Mexico, told me about this amazing Mexican food truck. I thought I'd try it out. Let me tell you, this was AMAZING! The food was hot and fresh. I got the steak burrito and my friend got the steak tacos. Both of us agree that we are going to go back. The only bad thing is you need cash, they don't accept credit or debit.

I'm sitting, pondering. My toilet seat has now grown warm and the luminescent light of my bathroom has now brought me some strange comfort in these final hours. Was it the mobility of the tacos on wheels? The easy access after my fast walk to which I completed 5.42 miles? Was I the victim here, or was my roommate, who now has lost her sense of smell? It was the taco azada with verde chilli, however I did not read the terms and conditions before I consumed. It destroyed my az. Seriously. Help me. But really. Have I learned my lesson? Is there a lesson? Where are my pants? Overall, great customer service coupled with an authentic atmosphere. Would recommend.

The place to go when fresh, hot and authentic food is what you crave. After becoming a fan of the $1.75 steak tacos with green sauce and lime, don't see myself at any other fast food taco joints. Must admit to being leery of the food truck at first, but I am now a convert.

Have driven by this taco truck a number of times on my way to other places (like Salween Thai down the road), but never stopped. It's parked in front of an unassuming strip mall with random stuff like Sonic, an auto supply store, a super market and a beauty supply store that sells (decent, if I say so myself) wigs.Decided to go here a weekday for an early lunch (say 1130-ish). Only one other person standing there and one person walked up while I was there. Walked up and told the woman it was my first time here and asked her what was popular. I figured she'd be excited to talk up her place, but she actually seemed annoyed to tell me (according to her, the burritos and tacos are popular). So much for small talk. I ordered chicken and beef tacos. Again, the payment process seemed to be a bit of a chore for her. I ordered and then she turned around and gave the order to an unseen cook and then kind of just turned away for two or three minutes (at some point, it looked like she was writing or something). I just stood there with my money in my hand, not sure what to do. She gave an order to the person waiting, and eventually, she turned back to face me and just kind of silently stared at me, until I handed her the money.Um, okay. A little awkward. The tacos themselves were pretty tasty--you can get three tacos for five bucks and they are chocked full of meat. Maybe I'm a wimp, but the salsa they gave me was kind of hot for my taste, so I wouldn't drench it on your food until you nibble it first. At some point I'll go again--for the pretty decent food and because it's close to work. But, I'd definitely say friendlier people at other food trucks that are about as close to my work as this one (ie, Maria Bonita), and I'd hit one of them first before I came here.

The lady at the card rooster was so rude when I asked her for some hot sauce. It's not my fault that you're busy. She needs better customer service.
