If you love greasy flavorless meat with rancid garlic salsa in your tacos, I highly recommend this place. The parking is pretty awesome too. It's pitch dark and a perfect spot to get shanked and dragged away to the near by train tracks never to be found again. To beat that, the owner is a really honest man! He will gladly give you your money back after he "accidentally" overcharges you for things that you didn't order. So, if you love spending family dinners in a sketch neighborhood inside a dilapidated building painted with vomit inducing bright colors and questionable plumbing; this is the best spot for bonding. Oh, and the pupusa menu is also a must. You don't even have to worry about deciding between the various fillings because they will just give you whatever they throw together and you aren't going to be able to tell the difference between one meat or the other anyway. On our visit, we got cheese, cheese and more stringy cheese! Who knows what they have in store for you...

Stop #1 on the summer 2015 yelp taco tour. When you are on any type of food or bar crawl, it always helps if the first stop is a good one- it sets the tone for the rest of the day/night. Taqueria Chango indeed did set a great tone for the rest of our day! Besides tacos and some other Mexican favorites, one thing on the menu I was happy to see was pupusa, which I have tried at Salvadorian places outside of Omaha and don't see often on menus here in town. The tacos were super fresh and the meat was excellent (i tried lengua). Tacos garnishes were on point, and they had the best chips of the day in my opinion, thicker freshly fried tortilla chip. Greasy but good.I have heard they often looked closed when they are supposed to be open, but no problems on the day we arrived. I would certainly give this place a try and mix it into your favorite omaha mex favorites.

I ordered 2 pupusads, 1 burrito and 5 tacos. 3 steak and 2 de Al pastor. Also they had a sign saying they had Atole de Elote. The pupusas were okay they could be thicker. Was charge $15 extra dollars for god knows who. I ordered pick up. The burrito was supposed to be asada and they definitely put birria in it instead. Place wasn't busy that should've been the first red flag. Definitely won't be coming back. Also onions and radish tasted old. Only thing I like was the Atole and burrito so good thing they messed up on the burrito. Steak is definitely not the best there. Tacos are also very greasy.

If you find yourself barreling down South 24th Street when hungry, don't pass up a chance to grab a bite at Taqueria Chango. The food is very reasonably priced, especially considering the generous portions. I enjoyed two tongue tacos for $2 apiece. Chango also gives you complimentary chips and salsa when you dine inside. They also give a hefty tray of garnishes to compliment your meal (limes, radishes, various pickled vegetables). And pupusas.Good, hardy and cheap. Seems Chango has it all. I will definitely be back.

I was so excited to see a place near by that had papusas! I went to El Salvador years ago and fell in love with them. We enjoyed our experience here as I got to try out my hand at speaking Spanish and the papusas we awesome. The tacos were a little dry and the relish tray of peppers, radishes, and grilled onions looked like it was put together much earlier in the day. I will definitely go back for the papusas and the great variety of sauces!

Came here because I had heard that they are the best tacos. NOT! To start the place smells gross but I stayed just because the "tacos are the best" and they were not. I order tacos al vapor and they were not al vapor. I had eaten tacos al vapor before in other places and they were not steamed tortillas they were just pan warm. The meat is another story. I order cheek meat and they were not cheek meat. I was raised eating cheek meat and got excited that it was in the menu. They just put whatever meat. My Husband order tacos al pastor and he got tacos de birria. I mean we order the meat that we know what it is. I'm not going back for sure. They totally have to do something about the smell. It seems that it was the rug that smells because it does looks clean.

My husband and I got pupusas from here, and please just DONT! They were so dry and gross. The curtido was nasty and whatever seasoning they through in it was overwhelming, and it didn't even come with the tomato sauce. Pupusas are our favorite thing to get but this place doesn't know what they're doing AT ALL. The waitress was also rude and acted like she'd rather be anywhere else.

Website says Sunday buffet I'm Omaha location. Waitress said No, not here. It's in Sioux city. Ordered anyway. Played of garnishments looked old, sliced days earlier. Beef and pork in taco's tasted like unseasoned boiled meat but tacos were dripping of grease. Horrible. 4 of us didn't finish our meals because tasted so bad.
