It looks decent from afar but up close, you're getting what you say for. Move on. Spend $100 next door I wish I did.
As you can see the wall lining is on the ground
You can see the smoke alarm has been removed and my door doesn't seem very secure
The bed was very comfortable.

If you ever find yourself in Shenandoah, Iowa and need a place to stay, you know that your choices are pretty limited. I was in town to run the Wabash Trace Marathon and I booked a room at this place because they had an affordable rate per night. The lady at the front desk was fast and friendly. She got me checked in and ready to go in a snap. The room was a pretty clean motel room, with clean sheets and clean towels. It also came with a microwave and a small fridge. The room had a rustic feel to it.There's a nearby Hy-Vee supermarket just down the street if you need to buy some drinks and snacks. There's also a McDonald's as well if you need something quick to eat.Overall, it was a super convenient location for a one night stay. However unlikely, I would not hesitate to stay here again if I'm ever in Shenandoah again.

Very charming and affordable.Set back in the southwestern corner of Iowa, amongst seemingly endless farmland, lies Tall Corn Inn. I didn't arrive until 11 p.m. on a Sunday, but the clerk was there, ready to get me into a room and give me some touristy tips for the area. He was very friendly and the owner, I believe. I checked into the room and was a bit surprised at how nice it was. The bed felt like a luxury with a super soft comforter and pillows. The room came with a fridge, microwave and hair dryer. The neat thing about the rooms is that each one has its own theme. I happened to get the I Love Lucy suite. I say suite since I had a king sized bed and a lounge chair. On top of all this, it was also the lowest priced lodging option in the area. Highly recommended!

I would have given 0 stars if possible. Worst place I've ever stayed. I didn't want my dogs to walk on the floor let alone me. Will never stay there again.

Do not stay here. We called and booked a room and gave them out credit card to hold the room. Showed up about an hour later to check in. The whole place was sketchy, but I was gonna give it the benefit of the doubt. While I waited to check in, I listened to a conversation between the employees about whether or not our room was ready. One lady assured us it was, but that there were no towels. The conversation between employees continued, and apparently there were no towels in the laundry and that another hotel they normally borrow towels from was out too. I was having serious doubts about the place now, so I asked if we could see our room. One of the employees walked with us across the parking lot to room 220, which we were told was ours. She went up to the door and quickly came back and said "that room is definitely occupied". At that point there were too many red flags and I politely told her we were gonna find somewhere else to stay. She apologized and said she understood and that she'd let the lady in the office know. We left, and about an hour later I got a notice that my credit card had been charged $79 for a room. I immediately called the Tall Corn and spoke to Kylie. She told me they had a no refund policy. The conversation went south from there and ended by her telling me she would call her manager and get back to me. We'll see what happens with that, but I've already called my credit card company to dispute the charge. I'd keep on going down the road if I were you.
