So good! I stopped in around 1:30-2pm for lunch. Busy but still had a great atmosphere and wasn't chaotic. I ordered a matcha mint chip frappe, Monte Cristo panini, and a blueberry scone. The frappe was to die for! The Monte Cristo panini was on sourdough bread and strawberry jam, with honey ham, and provolone cheese, topped with powdered sugar. And the blueberry scone while I was hesitant to try because of the purple frosting on top, I would say it rivals the scones in Williamsburg Tanger Outlet BP bakery, which is really hard to do.Pro: fast friendly service. Great food. And interestingly delicious drink recipesCons: Is only open till 4:30pm during the week and 2pm on the weekends

My family and I came into town specifically for ice cream from camping at Prairie Rose. This establishment is listed under ice cream and frozen yogurt which appears to be an error as the only frozen treats available are 4 choices of gelato. We selected the Raspberry and that certainly hit the spot. It was disappointing that this wasn't the full ice cream shop we were expecting. Cute place though!

Atlantic is my third stop on a photographic tour of two-lane highway roadside attractions. Pining for a decent cup of hot water infused with beans I asked around town for the local shop. Not many people knew of this hidden gem, but am quite certain that the word will soon be out.Wendy, the uber friendly proprietor, has the ability to speak with all walks; old church ladies, retired teachers and professors, farm folk and the occasional city slicker from Chicago. My first day at the Shoppe was spent at her sidewalk table. In between customers she would join me in the crisp air to learn my story and kindly share hers. I can honestly say that today, my second day of lounging in small town Americana is even grander with a coffee in hand from Sweet Wendy.Amazing gelato, swell paninis, dandy chocolates, strong coffee, rich espresso and hearty soups makes you forget all about the coloric nightmares that are the rest of Atlantic's restaurants.

I was surprised to find a nice little coffee shop in a random small town, away from the interstate. It seems to be a central fixture in the community, so I hope they succeed and continue to stay in business. Brass tax: they have a pretty good cup of coffee. Worth a stop if you're around.

This started as a sweet little gelato and coffee shop and has grown into a destination for great Panini lunches with homemade soup and espresso ... Now serving the best Italian dinner in town on Wednesday nights from 5 to 8 with soup or salad and cheesecake desserts ... all for a low price in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere.Husband had the White Lasagne that was chock full of chicken and I had the Jumbo Four Cheese Ravioli with Marinara (only four fit on a huge plate and I had to give the last one up) so we could taste a bit of both ... they were amazing .. the homemade rolls were to die for ... The cheesecakes were creamy and delish!!A Must Try for sure!!

as my wife and i are new to Atlantic, we are trying out a lot of the local businesses. our first adventure was to Sweet Joy Shoppe. we decided to have lunch at the cafe. they did not have anything vegetarian on the menu, which was a huge bummer for me. i thought about leaving to find somewhere else to eat when the staff at the cafe offered to make me a vegetarian dish. how could i refuse?she made me a vegetable panini with chips. it was very good. she added fresh peppers from her mother's garden and made a siracha mayo. my wife had the chicken tortilla bake -or something like that- and raved about it.and the coffee was delicious. it seems like the only place to get a good cup of coffee in Atlantic. so i will be back. probably a lot.the cafe itself is quite large. there is a ton of seating and they have books i assume for everyone to read or perhaps for purchase.definitely recommend.

I love this place for lunch. They make me the kind of food I'd make myself if I wasn't so lazy. Today I had the half turkey reuben panini and 7 layer salad to go. Perfect! Also great coffee. I've had dinner here once and it was delicious. Fresh and flavorful, you can tell they really pay attention to the little details.

I stopped in while passing through Atlantic for work. I travel a lot and honestly can say this is one of the best little places I've ever stopped, and I would go out of my way to come back here. I will daydream about the breakfast burrito for the foreseeable future, and perhaps it's for the best that I don't live near here because I would LIVE on their food.
