Sonny's

Sonny's is exactly what the Askarben area needed. There are always new events and a large variety of seating areas. The space is very "vibey" and it feels fun and relaxing to be there.The drinks at Sonny's were delicious. They are a little pricey, but I feel like you're paying for the experience. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is due to the service. At any given point there were 3-5 people behind the bar having a conversation, and taking drink orders was clearly the second priority. This happened every time we ordered a drink, to the point where it felt awkward standing there interrupting their conversation.Pets are allowed in all areas except the turf grass. There is also a large dog park right next to the bar area. This is also right next to the Inner Rail food hall, which has many food options. We ordered food to go from Inner Rail and brought it to the Sonny's seating area, which was great.

I always make sure to get a picture on this iconic pink background at Sonny's.It's been wonderful seeing the progress of this place over the last 3 years. They really invested in making this a lovely spot that stands apart from any other place in Omaha. Service is sub par however. Not very friendly.

Stopped by here on a Thursday evening. We had not been planning to come here but we had eaten at a nearby restaurant and saw a DJ setting up on the green space here.So we stopped to watch the karaoke "for a few minutes" and ended up staying the entire time. The DJ was fantastic and people were having a great time.There are some fun and inventive drinks on the menu. We will definitely be returning. Maybe we'll be brave enough to a song!

Perfect spot to hang out outside in the summer! So glad that Aksarben has a spot like this. It's one of those places where you just end up going there if you're in the area. They also seem to be hosting some other event or live music too!Bonus: you can have food delivered to your table from the inner rail!

First time coming here for a swing dance event and it was a great and packed atmosphere!We watched the lesson, danced a little on the green, and got some shots and drinks to celebrate a birthday. The menu was somewhat hard to find, and the line took a little time, but overall this was a much better and quicker experience than I expected for the packed and popular spot that it is! The bartenders gave us a good amount of tequila for the $6 shot too. I would definitely come back!

This is THE patio of the summer. Complete with games, lots of space, and incredible drinks Sonny's in Aksarben is the perfect happy hour or afternoon drink spot. You'll get your drinks quickly which gives you time to find a table, maybe next to a heater if it's cold, and enjoy your company. You will have the option for shaded seating, heated seating, and spots in the sun which provides options for everyone. Now they don't have food, but they are located right by a plethora of food options that you can bring or order to Sonny's so you don't go hungry. Park anywhere in Aksarben, walk over, and enjoy this energetic atmosphere!

What a fun place to go for a chill weekend night out! There is a good amount of seating at this outdoor area. There is some seating under a large pergola and more tables with umbrellas. These are attached to a grassy area with some lawn games. Overall just a fun environment. There is a small bar that serves some cocktails along with high noons and beers. The pretty cocktails were refreshing and delicious. The lines for drinks can be lengthy on a busy night but it moves fairly quickly. This would be a great spot to get together with friends or family earlier in the night. It's a fun spot to sit outdoors and sip on some drinks. We went on a night where they were doing salsa lessons which was a blast!

Sonny's is a great outdoor bar where there is lots of seating that is covered and uncovered from the sun! The service was really fast getting my drinks each time it would only take a few minutes after ordering. I really loved how there was live music as well. There is corn hole and a ping pong table so they are different activities to do. I loved just sitting and talking with friends while I got to enjoy the amazing weather! Both of my drinks tasted really amazing and were a bit strong. It was nice to sit and sip on them under the sun. Definitely a great place to go to in the summer! I also heard they have salsa lessons sometimes and really want to check that out. Sonny's is a great time.

Super cute spot. We stayed across the way at the Marriott and stumbled upon this place as we were grabbing dinner. Love the trailer that serves the drinks. The sitting area with music and games for everyone was perfect. Great concept.

Sonny's has a beautiful location, especially on a perfect Spring day like today. Very friendly staff, and a great selection of drinks and cocktails. The old fashioned is on point, and companions spoke highly of the margaritas. It's no wonder they were very busy.
