I was initially pleased with the buying process and their customer service. They were very pleasant and respectful. I bought a new car and was pleased with it. Not 2 weeks later, the A/C broke. This is an expensive repair so I asked them for a little help since I did not have the car for a full month yet. I got nothing but a large price tag and a shrug from the person at their maintenance shop. After putting a lot of money down for the car and being a happy customer, I feel a little scammed. The A/C is still not fixed and I am going to most likely pay off what I owe on the car and trade it in at another dealer. It's a shame! I really wanted to leave a good review, but I feel like I have been taken advantage of! I would have liked to see a little customer service in action or someone in my corner! I never expected them to fix it for free, but a $1000+ repair on a car I just bought hurts a lot!

Wanted to trade my car in on a Ford Focus that was for sale at Sid Dillon's O Street lot. I told the salesman that I would trade my car and $1000 cash for the Focus. The sales manager, Bill Koch, inspected and drove my car. The salesman told me that Mr. Koch was agreeable to the deal provided I could fix a "check engine" light that had come on in my car due to a misfire (coil pack). Mr. Koch also asked me if I could fix whatever was causing the light to come on and I said that I could. The next day, the salesman called me and said that Mr. Koch would take my car and $1000 for the Focus and asked if I could fix whatever was causing the check engine light to come on. Once again I said I would. I took care of the problem and took my car back over to the dealership. Mr. Koch drove my car again and told me he would take $1600 and my car, rather than the $1000 previously agreed upon. I thanked him for his time and left, and although I was pretty angry about being lied to I managed to stay calm. I mentioned this to the salesman when he called me later. I waited a sufficient period of time for them to reconsider before I wrote this review but they did not.I realize that we had no signed contract but I do have an expectation that if someone at a car dealership makes a promise, they will keep it. Mr. Koch apparently does not keep his word or honor his agreements. I consider his actions to be dishonest and unscrupulous. Having purchased cars from this dealership in the past I consider this to be a very poor way to treat a customer. I will NEVER buy another car from this dealership again and will be telling all my friend and associates to avoid this business as well.UPDATE: Received a call from the dealership's general manager a day or two after this review appeared, offering to honor the original offer. I was still angry and told him I would think about it and get back to him. I did so a few days later by e-mail indicating my acceptance. It has been nearly a week and I have not received any response.

They sell lemons to people that depend on that car to work and make payments. Basically they sell really big paperweights. If they had a blank star I would have chosen that.

I bought a 2016 Mazda cx 5 grand touring on 01/06/2023. I called sid Dillon previously the night before to request to see a Subaru that they had on their website and they were kind enough to give me a call and let me know it hadn't passed inspection and that they'd be happy to show me other vehicles. I went there on 01/05 at 5 pm to see vehicles. On the phone call I had requested vehicles under $10k and or payment under $300. They showed me a Nissan rogue for $16k and this Mazda for $15k and said they could make it work. I test drive it and didn't see any issues besides the center console latch not being fixed so the center console could close and remain latched. We elected to go back the next morning 01/06 to finish paperwork. I requested that morning to test drive something a little smaller for comparison and had my cousin meet me to buy my car from me because sid Dillon kept my car title overnight as a way to ensure I came back the next day. I have since learned that is illegal and they cannot request a down payment or to hold the title for that. So I went back and met my cousin and she was there to assist me since this was my first time car buying experience from a dealership with financing. We were talking numbers and they had the payment to $357. Mark the financing manager at the O street location then said to my hesitation to find that extra $7 stated that $7 is nothing and he can find $7. I was extremely offended at that especially given I thought they would be willing to work with me and knew my budget from the get go and refused to show me anything under $10k to see how those payments and such would look. It was very you test drove the Mazda you're going to leave in the Mazda. I will note I do love my Mazda but I regret buying it from sid Dillon. At this time my cousin spoke up and mentioned that her fiancés cx7 had had issues with the timing belt and that it needed to be replaced every 100,000 miles or so and my car has 135,000 or so miles. That is a hefty repair so I wanted to know if they had any information on that repair or any spurt of reassurance that it wouldn't give out on me a week after having the car. They came back with removing $500 from the asking price. I agreed and went to do paperwork. I had a slight hang up with getting a hold of an insurance agent but was finally able to submit a request online to update to full coverage insurance. During this time mark was very off putting and kept checking the time or rolling his eyes and seemed annoyed at my inability to get the request through. Once that was through, my cousin came back to give me my license plates off my previous car and my garage opener and I told her that she may have to stay since it was unclear if I would be able to leave with the Mazda or not due to the insurance. Mark was very quick to state that she did not need to stay and attempted to rush her out while muttering something about $500 under his breathe. I was very uncomfortable at this point and wanted to get done as quick as possible and I asked one more question about the keys and if they had a set of two for this car or not and I felt the urge to apologize for having asked questions that any decent person would ask. I, the person spending a good chunk of change, felt the need to apologize for having mark do work for me. Once it was done we left with the car, and after having the car for a week I noticed a subtle set back when fully stopped. I had to take the car to Anderson Mazda, who was nothing but helpful and will definitely be where I get a car in the future, for an open recall I asked about during the purchase of the car and I did not get a solid answer from sid Dillon. It was no issue to go to Anderson Mazda on my end. Once I registered the car I then had to get screws to attach the plate in the back and that is when I learned that the screw holes in the back needed to be rethreaded and was advised to go to a dealership. I had this car 2 weeks at this point. Tonight on 02/03 my brakes started squealing while braking so now, not even a month into owning this car I am looking at having to pay $450 for front brakes and $400 for back brakes. When I think about this entire situation I am sick to my stomach at how they take advantage of people and sell cars that seem to not even go through a basic inspection before being on the lot to be sold. I will never recommend sid Dillon to anyone ever because of how disgustingly I was treated by mark and by how horrid this whole experience has been since you are meant to enjoy a new car, not have an $850 repair in less than a month.

Very surprised and happy with our experience buying a used care from Sid Dillons at O Street. We needed a reliable used vehicle for our high school triplets, on a budget. We had been buying only new for years, after our poor college days, so had forgotten how hard it is to not be just buying someone else's problems... Checked many private ads and a couple of other used car dealers. Thankfully we took the hottest prospects to a mechanic to be checked before purchase, there were really major hidden problems with all that seemed like we wanted... The really scary ones were some of the second-tier used car dealers... after learning how these cars get on these lots, it is amazing that most could be safely or reliably driven off the lot.I have developed a lot of trust concerns with car dealers over the years, both new and used. It has always felt like you needed to be armed going in, to try to protect your wallet either for service or a sale. But we decided to stop by Sid Dillons, and worked with Chuck. A super friendly guy, very honest with any questions we had. We were able to get a fair price for what seemed to be a very good choice for the kids. Then we took it to the mechanic, it passed with flying colors. Then Sid Dillons did their "safety inspection", where they check for things that could affect safety and fix them at no more cost... it turned out the brakes were near the need for service, and Sid Dillons replaced everything all around.... as well as the windshield that had a crack. It has been a couple of months since we purchased this car and we have had only two issues.. the check engine light came on. I took it to the auto parts store for the computer check, was told it was just the thermostat... a five dollar part, and a ten minute fix. I told Sid Dillons about the issue before I knew for certain this was actually the problem and it was obvious they were wiling to work with me on the issue if necessary... I popped in a new thermostat myself and the light problem vanished. The other issue was a squeaky sound when the doors were opened and closed. A shot of WD-40 and the problem vanished. Two months later, the kids are driving around happily, impressing their friends in what looks and drives like a brand new car, at a fraction of what a new car would have cost. Thanks, Chuck.

Only gave one star because I had to. I would NEVER buy or look at Sid Dillon again! Looked at and test drove a car. Tried to deal on it and left to think about it. Called them 45 min later and said I'd take the deal and was on my way there to pick it up and sign paperwork. They called me back 15 min later to tell me that even though we accepted the offer that someone else was on their way to test drive it and that we would have to wait to see if they wanted it. It ultimately ended up selling. They acted like they wanted to help me get into a car and said they had one they would bring from their other lot for me to look at and would call me when they got it there. I had to call hours later to find out what was going on only to find out that vehicle had major problems. They said they had another one for me to look at. Sent me pictures of minor damage which I was ok with. Got their only to find major damage and when asked about it their only response was "sorry, guess I didnt notice that" worst customer service ever!!
