Great food, great service! We always enjoy going to the Downtown Shucks location, so decided to give this one a try. It's a winner, too. It's a more open space than the downtown one. The decor is similar though the downtown one feels like a more genuinely "rustic" environment. It's all good, this one seems classier, I guess, for lack of a better term.So - my goal for the visit was to compare the clam chowder to the lobster bisque to see which one I liked better. Well, this was impossible as they are both amazing! The chowder is chunky and the bisque is smooth. They are both very rich, the bisque seems more so. I felt that the bisque was saltier, not too much, but approaching it (to my taste anyway). The chowder is probably going to stay my go-to soup but the bisque can be a nice occasional treat.I think I mentioned in the other review that the clam chowder at Shucks is the best I ever had, including ones at places in San Francisco that claim to be the Best Ones.

If you are eating a gluten-free diet in west Omaha or Elkhorn, I don't know of any place that does it better in the way of ordering GF items. Even for takeout, there is a whole separate menu specifically for GF and makes you feel like you can actually get every menu item that those who eat gluten can. I feel like some of the food used to be better as far as quality for price but I also know that costs for food that is real has risen everywhere.

Well, that was disappointing. So sad, I used to come to this restaurant quite often. Stopped by to grab some soup to go and it seems that at first they didn't want to sell it to me, and then they brought out a to go coffee cup, and indicated it would be nine dollars!!I'm going home and make it my own

I really enjoyed the fish&chips I also ordered the snow crab but to my surprise the snow crabs didn't look cleaned properly the little black spots on them really grossed me out. The location is on the smaller side and was pretty crowded when I arrived around lunch time during the week. Customer service was great our server was very attentive and nice. I really wish I would have sent the carb legs back but I didn't want to bother. Overall nice spot for a quick seafood dine.

First time visitor Located in a shopping plaza : plenty of parkingThis location does not offer reservation but walk in onlyIndoor dining and full bar available Menu specials change monthly and full menu also available Seafood speciality spot Oysters shucked in house and visible seen upon entering Great pricing on drinks and food Crab cake - moist and flaky, plenty of crab and the tartar sauce? Adds a little something Grilled oyster with butter and Parmesan - still can taste the sweetness of the oyster and was not overpowered by the additional seasoning - crusty bread from crunch and pick up additional flavors Red bean and rice - little hint of spice, rice was plump and beans had the taste the being cooked on the stove for hours at a timeCup of Jumbo - hearty seasoned well warms your inside little spice plump pieces of meat Beach bum drink with mango cart and big wave certainly recommend and only $6Great spot for celebration group outing date night come to chill and watch sports on the flat screens Waiting might be the only issue but definitely a fun spot on a Friday night! Server was friendly and checked up on us a few different occasions and even split the check in how many different ways to accommodate the table - big plus on that! Definitely a spot to return to!

I'm surprised I've never reviewed Shucks before! It's hands down my favorite seafood place in Omaha. It's a must visit. Staff is always incredible and personable and I'm never disappointed with their food. My favorites are the Shrimp Po Boy (best one I've had), lobster bisque, and lobster roll. Shrimp Fest is a must to check out when they have that in January. They are also great with gluten free options. Can't recommend enough.

Had such a lovely night out. Oysterfest was totally worth the 90min drive. Had a seafood feast for only $80 by combining the Oysterfest prices with happy hour prices at Shucks Fish House & Oyster Bar. Cup of oyster stew, 1lb peel and eat shrimp, clam strips, 1doz Harbor House oysters from Delaware, 1doz North Shore Gold from P.E.I. Canada and 3 draft beers. This seafood loving FL girl is a happy clam.I will say that the clam strips were way too salty, but not too heavily breaded. Also, not very meaty. The oyster stew was thick - like clam chowder and had a total of 3 oysters (which I thought was decent, since it was only a cup). I'm used to oyster stew being more thin (but maybe that's just how it is up here in the Midwest). It was also way too salty for me, the bread piece served with it helped (a little). North Shore oysters were FIRE! Harbor House oysters were good - a little bigger than what I prefer, but were thin, so not too overwhelming. Both had a little bit of grit, but, they're oysters, so they're not gonna be perfect. The cocktail sauce had definite hints of Bloody Mary mix. Horseradish was nose tingling good. Beer was cold and didn't taste off (which can happen sometimes with draft beer). The restaurant was on the smaller side and busy when we arrive just after 5. We sat at the bar, and despite the rush, had great service that was friendly and prompt. Overall, very happy with the experience and looking forward to making another trip to one of their other two locations on the future.

We have a habit of arriving for meals at awkward times. After lunch but before dinner, when it's slow and they're recovering and/or making preparations. This tends to result in unusual experiences and I take that into account when I make my reviews. At Shucks, though, you could only tell because of how dead it was. The service was so attentive, friendly, and quick, every table was clean, and our food was fresh and fast, things I expect during peak times but rarely get in that no-man's land in between. I'm impressed. The quality of food was amazing- not a single thing was less than very good, and several aspects were in fact great. I will say, however, that what they consider a remoulade is not what I have ever expected for a remoulade, it's more like a vinaigrette, which caught me off guard. But I'll definitely be back to try more stuff. Amazing, earned their 5/5
