Excellent choices, and every plate I've had has been great and quantity!Everyone serving was courteous and quick.Clean and pleasant nice decor.

Website says they're open until 8:00. I have no reason to believe otherwise, as there's people inside. Walked in at 7:42, they tell me no more seating. I know exactly what I want, I asked if I could just get a to-go order. Then they say no, the kitchen's closed. If you make it clear on your website that there's no seating or orders after a certain time, then I could have called in an order for carryout ahead of that deadline. I certainly wouldn't have driven all the way over from Lincoln for the one thing you do on your menu that's better than anything over there. Wasted trip. Waste of time. Moving on. Sad

Came for breakfast and it was very good. We had the Monte Cristo and the Chicken & Waffles. Honestly the most impressive part was the hot sauces they had and the decor. This would be a fun place to bring the entire family. I feel like even my parents who don't always enjoy eating out would enjoy coming here to look at all the decor on the wall. Staff were also so great!

We just moved from Arizona to Omaha, family said this was their go too for breakfast . So they took us here . Have to say the service was amazing! The atmosphere was very nice . Food breakfast was soooo good! We love it! I think we found our first favorite breakfast place .We will see you soon again!thank you

We went on a holiday and they were extremely busy. However, they have everything down to a science and are extremely efficient, so we didn't have to wait very long. The service was excellent, all the staff seemed very seasoned and professional, while also being warm and friendly. I had the Reuben sandwich with a side of coleslaw; both were absolutely delicious! My friend tried a chicken and waffle combination that was equally tasty. This place is always a top pick for me!

Shirley's Diner is one of those true blue comfort breakfast restaurants where you know you're going to enjoy warm delicious dishes that are all about comfort. We happened upon this place since we live near by and we were both pretty hungry. We were seated pretty quickly and eagerly looked at the menus to decide what to start our day with. Walking into the restaurant I looked around the space and don't believe I've been to a place quite like this one. I loved that they had a little corner area for kids to play in. There were a variety of toys and some vintage ones lined the top area. Definitely makes the restaurant feel warm and inviting. We both opted for dishes that were warm and savory. My omelet loving heart chose the Western omelet which boasted jack & cheddar, ham, grilled onions, green peppers, tomatoes, queso and scallions. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It was tasty and the queso was a good touch. We both enjoyed the extra crispy hashbrowns it comes with. My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken fried steak, hand breaded pork steak with sausage creamy gravy and a side of toast. We each shared some with each other and both were happy with each other's dishes as well. Our server was super helpful, friendly, and attentive as well. She even brought out a special hot sauce the staff loves and orders it special from Seattle! We definitely wanna keep that one in mind. If you're on the hunt for warm, cozy, yummy breakfast and you happen to be in the area I highly recommend checking out Shirley's diner. Their menu will have something you'll love and the servers will make sure you're enjoying your experience as well.

Down to earth family oriented diner with homemade dishes. The reuben sandwiches are terrific and filling. The homemade onion rings were huge. The Monte Cristo sandwich was a work of art literally. Our server, Brad, was knowledgeable and efficient. The restaurant had several family groups. The prices were reasonable.

Enter in to a 50's diner atmosphere and try all the great breakfast entrees and lunch entrees. Love the hash browns with gravy and sunny side up eggs is my go to. Would recommend if you want to try something new. Great spot!

** 0 Stars - Absolutely Terrible Experience** If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be a disaster. The workers were standing around in groups, glued to their phones, completely ignoring customers, even when we were standing right in front of them waiting to order. On top of that, they were openly talking badly about customers, making it clear they have zero respect for the people keeping their business running. The service was beyond slow. I waited an unreasonably long time to be seated as 4 other parties were seated before us and our food since "the system" didn't get our order inputted.As if that wasn't bad enough, the hygiene in this place is disgusting. Employees who clearly don't care about sanitation. I saw one worker wipe their nose and then immediately handle food without washing their hands. Absolutely revolting. This place is a joke. Poor service, horrible food, and a staff that clearly doesn't care. Avoid at all costs.

A quick breakfast before I drive across Nebraska. Stopped at Shirley's because Yelp showed it was on the way to the freeway.Followed a family in, and saw a teenage son give his Mom a kiss on the out. That's a good start, almost like home. Turns out she was my cheerful server.Just ordered a veggie omelette with fruit. Came out fast and hot. Very good presentation - strange thing to notice at a diner, but there it is. Omelette is hot, English muffins look good. Taste is really good.Ok it just breakfast but just really good start to the day. My iced tea never went dry, the conversations around me were quiet and seemed pleasant, just a nice place that I enjoyed.Need a good place to try out before a long trip? This fits the bill. Just so much nicer than a chain restaurant along the freeway.
