Sherwood Homes

Buyer beware! Buyer Beware! Buyer Beware! Sherwood Homes is the worst. Don't try to have any warrantee work done with them. They will hang up on you multiple times and deny any responsibility. They blame it on other things so they don't have to fix it. I have a flooding basement but magically it isn't there fault. My egress is filling up like a fish bowl, they refuse to acknowledge that drain isn't hooked up. They refuse to acknowledge that it was installed incorrectly. They also refuse to help in anyway. I purchased a egress window cover hoping it would help, and found that it is seeping from both sides. This house is a year old and shouldn't be falling apart. Sherwood Homes doesn't stand behind their product. Trust me look elsewhere when building a home. I would give no stars if I could. You will thank yourself later. STAY AWAY FROM SHERWOOD HOMES!

Unfortunately looks like they still aren't a good builder. Bought a house that they built back in the 90's, what a piece of garbage job they did. Shouldn't be allowed to ever build houses again! I'd give them a zero stars but feedback doesn't allow for that.

Stay far away from them and their Agent Reps, they lie and push to get you in contract. None of there "meetings " are convenient for the average working person, so you are paying them to build your dream home and using all your vacation time to get it done. Please do all of your research and a class on engineering, building/ construction and Real Estate Law because you will need all to work with them on a level playing field. They are not in the business of customer service in anyway. They get negative stars.... but yelp requires at least 1. Seriously worst builder ever!

Our experience building a "custom" home with Sherwood was disappointing. We love our home and the location but have grown impatient on the warranty items Sherwood has agreed to fix. We have been in our home for about 17 months and still have items on our one year warranty that have not been completed. ProHome has been no help in resolving the remaining issues and we unfortunately have had to seek legal representation and file a complaint with the BBB.

Stay far away from this builder! They are NOT a true custom home builder. They do not go above and beyond for the customer. They build many houses a year and focus on making money. We wanted to speak with the owner during an issue but he declined and even offered to let us out of the contract with our deposit back. They use Pro Home for their warranty company and they are just as bad. Once you sign the papers, they want NOTHING to do with you. They get one star for building a house that is still standing.
