Shelly's Pet Parlor

I started taking my minpin, Thor to Shelly's because he absolutely hated having his nails trimmed at the vet and I was too nervous to do it at home. At the vet, we had to muzzle him, he was so terrified of the process... But he LOVES going to Shelly's. They definitely know dogs here and can take care of even the most growly customers with care and respect. This is another place that's definitely out of my way, but worth the detour.

My little dog came there for grooming and left there itching with fleas. Did not have fleas before arriving and does not leave my house and not aloud to play with other pets. No help or explanation from owner. I won't be taking my dog there again.

I've been taking my dogs here for over 10 years. They have always come back safe, well taken care of, and adorable. I've been going here for so long I'm not sure how competitive the pricing is. However, it's about 30-$40 for my yorkies. Their fur gets really long and unruly at times so that may be a factor in the price.

I was able to feel comfortable with their open setting when dropping my fur baby off. She was so sweet and kind towards my pup too. At pick up his hair cut looked amazing and was exactly what I asked for. He had the CUTEST bandana on too. He didn't seem stressed either and didn't mind being there. Makes my heart full. She was really reasonable priced too!

I have had several types of dogs over the years and I have had Shelly groom them all. She is very friendly and is concerned about any of my pets needs. Special shampoo for my dog with sensitive skin.

We took our golden retriever here the other day to use the self service station. We called ahead to make sure it was available and their was somebody using it. They called us back when the other person was done and we came right over. It was nice that they offered to call us back so we didn't have to stand around and wait. They are so friendly here! Customer service is A+. It is actually a room with a big, elevated tub for the dog. It's nice and high so you aren't leaning over the entire time. They provide aprons so you don't get soaked. Shelly came in and cut his nails for us because I am too scared to do it myself (she was great and really fast). They had all of the products set our for us and told us the order to use them in. There were a good amount of fresh clean towels and the dryer was right there. There was an assortment of combs and brushes to use after your dog was dry.I'd say this place is 5 star worthy, but it was $20 to use the room to do it yourself. I think that is a bit expensive. If it weren't for price, I would say it was a 5 star experience.
