So happy to have found an almond cake here! A friend and I stopped in on a whim while we were in the neighborhood and I was so glad we did. The almond cake is sooo moist and delicious, it truly reminds me of my grandma. I was so tempted to get the zucchini bread, but that'll have to wait for another time. Customer service was very kind and informative. She let us know that they're always at the farmers market so if I don't make it to the shop, I can always find yummy treats there.

Shandy's food has character. Not cookie-cutter in any way.Chocolate peanut-butter cookies are out of this world.Pies are spicier and decidedly less sweet than the norm, which might not be your thing.Worth trying a variety of things because if a particular style strikes your fancy, it's unlikely to be duplicated elsewhere.

I love Shandy's! She makes an array of different breads, cookies and other treats. Most recently I stopped by for sugar cookies and zucchini bread. The bread was so good. She used just the right spices, it was just like the bread my mother made 30 years ago.The sugar cookies were Kansas City/Football themed and they made my 8 year old's day. Shandy also has cookies such as chocolate chip and oatmeal scotchies that my husband just loves.The service is very friendly. The atmosphere is that of a small working bakery that has shelves stocked with the days offerings. I will definitely be back.

Pumpkin Twinkies and almond cakes were phenomenal....Support local small businesses and give them a try, you won't be disappointed. Service was awesome and she is so friendly!

If you're looking for a unique celebration cake I highly recommend the Princess cake. It's a little pricey, but for good reason. The taste is pure decadence. It's absolutely beautiful. Sponge cake, raspberry and whipped cream filling, topped with a thin marzipan. Highly recommend!! It will not disappoint.

This lady is not friendly! Purchased 2x at farmers market and once at store, the Swedish almond cake is tasty but cookies are average. For me personality goes a long way! Dealing with the public sometimes sucks but as a business owner sometimes you just have to suck it up. Like to support our Millard businesses but done trying with this one!

I added photos of my Instagram review for more in-depth info in the desserts. The short version is that I love this bakery! The lemon poppyseed bundt cake was downright addicting and the Out Of This World cookie was a fun twist on your classic chocolate chip. They have one of the best ginger cookies I've ever had. As someone who has sampled nearly 800 cookies in the last 17 months, it takes a lot to wow me! I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you try it out!

Shandy's Swedish Bakery was mentioned on the Grow Omaha radio show this morning, mentioning it had recently opened, so I had to go and try it out. It may be a little hard to find if you don't know the area, but if you travel south from 138th and Q there is a small strip mall south of La Petite Academy where it can be found. As I said it was mentioned on the radio so many people had already been there before me that took care of her inventory already. Shandy was the only one there feverishly trying to restock the goods in her small store. She pointed out the loaf of Swedish Rye Bread and her Scandinavian Almond Cake which I got and her full breaded Kolaches (she also had Bohemian in the family).She gave many suggestions for the Rye bread with including grilled cheese which I will try first. I hope to go back to try her Kolaches.

HER FOOD SUCKS and they're horrible!! Don't buy from her! There was literally a piece of blonde hair in the food and it was disgusting
