I haven't been to SLTC in years, as I basically live on the north edge of town, and it's quite a drive. However, I was in the area for a meeting and was pleased to see how this place has filled in.This remind me of a very small scale Plaza in KC. It's truly an outdoor mall, featuring a lot of national brands on the main strip. There are big box stores outlining the mall, like Dicks, TJMaxx, Jc Penny etc. I like the offering. There is also some gyms, activities, esthetics, and more. My only complaint is the parking is less than desirable with a lot of one way parking strips.

Not to be confused with Shadow-Like, which is someone that moves around in the dark and rarely gets seen in the light of day. For example, your Dad and I did a lot of moving around in the dark last night.Absolutely amazing Mall in the Omaha area about 10 miles south of downtown, which is an outdoor mall that has a little shopping-street type area and then has some massive strip mall type huge big box stores as well. It's very well done, and even though traffic is bad here and parking can be tricky, it's still easily the best mall in Nebraska, and is one of the major destinations for the whole area.I've been told that I'm stealthy and nearly invisible at night. This center is named after me then: "Shadow-Like."Oh that's not what it's called? Oops. I guess I put the DOH in Shadow.

Shadow Lake shopping center allows those who live South, to shop South. This shopping center is a cross-hybrid of Lake Manawa shopping center in Iowa and Village Pointe in West Omaha. I think it caters to a decidedly middle/upper middle class customer who likes a nice environment to shop, and wants to one stop shop for all their needs. From a large and stocked Hyvee (with gas!) to home decor (Bed bath beyond/ Pier one/ Michaels Craft), clothing (LOFT, Old Navy, TJ Maxx), lunch/dinner/desert options, and craft/office supplies and Pet needs-there is little you cannot find in SL shopping center. It has the same outdoor shopping plaza that both Village Pointe and Lake Manawa have, and it's large enough that you have to drive your car to cover the entire shopping center- it's not entirely walking friendly for the winter and summer seasons. It's a nice place to get a lot of errands done, all at one time.

Found some good sales on my last visit and was so pleased to indulge in grabbing some much needed additions to my wardrobe at very good prices. If you are out shopping with kids, the splash park is a big hit with the little ones and the summer concerts are free and worth stopping by to check out.

I mean... for an "outside mall" outside of Omaha it isn't bad. Lately a lot of business have been departing for one reason or another, and the empty bays are filled with seasonal stores; which I HATE. I do wish there were rotating restaurants, and eating at OC or Texas Roadhouse does get old after a while. When Wheatfields left, a little piece of me died that day. Summers are probably at its peak with the live bands, but the children - HOLY undisciplined children. For those of us who have chosen not to have any, it really puts a damper on the atmosphere.

HyVee is the anchor store. Several storefronts are empty. While some stores closed due bankruptcy, the others relocated to locations. Not sure why they left, but if it's because I'd the rent costs, then this would explain why no new stores are coming in. Best to skip this location and go straight to Nebraska Crossing.

This shopping center doesn't necessarily look like much when you drive by. The main signs only advertise a couple of stores and you can hardly see any of the stores aside from the big ones from up on the main road. But when you come on in, park, and walk around, you'll find just about everything. It's a very nice outdoor mall with everything from Best Buy to Ann Taylor to Famous Footwear to Victoria's Secret. It's a rather decent one-stop go-to-all-the-store-you-need-to shopping center.Parking can be difficult during peak shopping times. And even when you can park close, you will still be walking quite a bit. But hey, that's the same with an indoor mall. All in all, Papillion took a big step up in the world when this shopping center was built.

Okay, granted shopping here when the weather dips to a windy 20 degrees it's not so fun. BUT, this towne center boasts great parking, stores, eateries, and banks which makes for an awesome go to place since everything is pretty much there! I love that you can shop for your cat or dog, then for electronics for you brother or boyfriend, then you can hit up Victoria's Secret for some goodies for yourself, THEN you can check out the sales at Old Navy, stop by Chocolaterie Sam for some chocolates too! Heck you can buy an entire outfit, go workout, eat a burger, pay your phone bill, and a treat for your dog and boyfriend ALL in one place. There's ample parking, even in the holidays, though you may have to park a bit away if the coveted stalls in front of the stores are all taken. The ONLY thing I think they should seriously try to get here is a bookstore, barnes & noble would be nice. I also love the fact that they have a ton a different restaurants in this little towne center and let's not forget the Hy-Vee too. Okay okay, so I really like shadow lake, what I think I like the most about it is.... it's a less than 5 minute drive to get here. yeah, I pretty much hit the jackpot!

I've been going to Shadow Lake for years, primarily just because it's very close to me. When I was much younger, shadow had a lot of better stores. Now it seems that it's lost its touch and a lot of the stores are fillers, solely open to aid the commission of the owners of the plaza. Nowadays, there are still some good stores, and the shrubbery makes the walk around the square nice. I'd only comment that it would be nice to see a renovation of the surrounding stores in the entire shopping district, not just the plaza.

Shadow Lake Towne Center definitely has a lot going for it. It's a great south metro shopping area, a thing that they;ve never had in this part of town. And now with the new developments at Market Pointe I think it will keep growing. It's pretty conveniently located right off highway 370.I really like the layout, it's one of the new, modernm outdoor shopping malls (Zona Rosa, Village Pointe, etc...) and it does indeed look very fancy and beautiful. Lots of nice landscaping and architecture. Selection of stores is OK....I like the Gordmans, Best Buy, and JC Penny but that's about it. Lots more niche stores that I have no reason to visit. Selection of food is pretty decent, you got a B Dubs, Old Chicago, and Nebraska Brewing Company! Hooray for beer! And a full size grocery store is nice to have here too.Overall, I really like Shadow Lake and I think it's a great addition to the area.
