Worth the drive to Fremont for sure. They had a small menu but with a great variety. The pasta tasted so fresh and the bread with the leek butter was amazing. We sampled from each other and no one had a dish that someone didn't enjoy. We will be back and I want to order the duck !

This restaurant is tucked in a small space that gives it a very intimate atmosphere. The decor, the lighting and the wine on wall all make it feel like you are in a small restaurant in Italy. The service was great, the drink were amazing and of course the food was delicious!

I will not be able to articulate how impressed I am with this establishment. The ambiance is warm but elegant. Loved that you can watch them make pasta (even passing by outside the window you could stop and watch!) Our server (regrettably forgot her name) was beyond well versed in the menu and professionalism! The food was Devine! Incredibly fresh! Ordered the artisan cheese and honey comb started. WONDERFUL! Had two different pastas, both were cooked to perfection, the flavors were impressive and the portions were good. Also has the scallops, best scallops I've ever had. Finally we finished with the honey Pavlova! Fresh and delicious! Will continue to express how great Semo is, highly recommending to my friends, family and others!

I'm salivating just writing this review! We had an incredible experience at Semo, one I know that wasn't just an isolated instance. You can tell that the entire staff cares about their restaurant, the people who enter and the neighborhood they're in. We were seated by our server who already had the table set up. Throughout the night, our server was so kind, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I'm only regretting not getting her name to give her a proper shoutout! Chef/Owner Drew walked in shortly after we sat and he was kind enough to stop in and visit with us for a while. The space is such a vibe. Between the classic bar, exposed brick, wine shelves, open kitchen space and mismatched plates and china, I felt like I was in a true Italian market. For drinks, we both started with the old fashioned. The drink is so simple, yet they still managed to put a spin on it to make it even better. I'm not even sure how to describe how it was slightly different and better, but it was so just take my word for it. As for the food, it may sound like a hyperbole but EVERYTHING we ate was fantastic. I'm not a huge fish fan, but I indulged my husband who wanted to try the halibut starter which came with perfectly crispy and buttery focaccia. They may have turned me into a halibut fan with this one dish! We also tried the tomato salad, which was so fresh and flavorful, it was if they went out back to pick the tomatoes and herbs minutes before serving it to me. For mains, my husband and I split a pistachio pesto with stuffed rigatoni and chicken thighs. It sounds heavy, but the dish was so bright and delicious, it was easy to finish. We also had to get the tajarin and truffle as they're known for their truffle dishes. It came with a HUGE mound of shaved truffles so it was well worth the price even with that. We also tried a few other dishes that the table got, including the bolognese and a mushroom risotto. Let me tell you, I don't often order bolognese because it's usually pretty "basic". But wow. This dish was perfect. The meat was perfectly salty and fatty but not overly rich. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the cheese on top rounded out the dish. We ended this incredible meal with some digestives and one of every dessert because we couldn't pick which included Chef's classic butterscotch budino which is always our go to.Do yourself a favor and book your reservation now! And bring friends so you can try more things (or just be ready to other one of everything...)!

I took my boyfriend here when he visited from out of town, and I took him here as well as to many reputable restaurants all over Omaha. He said of all the places we went, Semo was his favorite. I think our server's name was Megan? She was wonderful, super helpful and attentive. They don't specialize in steak but the wagyu striploin my boyfriend ordered was next level, better than what we had at a steakhouse the next day. The squid ink spaghettini with bay scallops & romesco sauce was incredible and quite a large helping. I had lots of leftovers the next day. The salmon rillettes with fresh sourdough bread they bake in-house was insaaaaane, so salty and full of flavor. I am sure the chefs could tell from across the room that I was enjoying it by all the noise I was making as I ate it. And for dessert I loved the butterscotch budino. Incredible dinner overall, would LOVE to go again!

This place is AMAZING! If you are a pasta lover, you NEED to check this place out! This European-inspired Nebraskan restaurant is located in downtown Fremont. You can taste the creativity and care infused in every bite and drink at this place. Our table ordered the Egg Nog and Cranberry Daquiri cocktails to start things out and both were exquisite. Next we ordered the Tagliatelle+Black Winter Truffle Pasta and the Mafaldine+Wagyu Bolognese. The flavors were out of this world and the portioning was generous. We ended the night off by ordering the Egg Nog cake, the nutmeg mixed with the bourbon and caramel ice cream was so so tasty. The staff and chefs there were so kind and attentive to our table. I will say the high quality of food is matched with high quality pricing so be mindful of that is pricing is a determining factor for picking out a dinner spot.

First off folks this hidden gem is in Fremont, NE! You don't generally put Fremont and fine dining in the same sentence but you can now. Located downtown in an old historic building is this wonderful quiet and upscale restaurant that serves local farm to table cuisine. You are warmly greeted when you walk in the door and seated at one of the few tables they have. I highly recommend making a reservation because no matter what day of the week we have gone they are always pretty busy. You can see the kitchen no matter where you sit and can watch food being prepared along with their homemade pasta. I had the Wagyu Hanger Steak with an assortment of vegetables. It was cooked to perfection and amazing flavorful. I'm not a huge veggie gal but let's just say I cleaned my plate! For dessert I had the Butterscotch Budino which is a flavor explosion for your mouth, I highly recommend!Semo has a very extensive wine list and a nice assortment of cocktail options with several nonalcoholic drinks as well. If you ever find yourself in Fremont be sure to give Semo Pasta and Wine a try.

Semo Pasta + Wine! So good. Old Fashioned had a unique rich taste and upon complimenting them, they shared they partner with another business to create this Backbone Bourbon only found there. The focaccia on the super reasonable $5 bread offering was dense with a slight buttery salt taste paired with herb and chive butter. This was my fave and they offer it during a monthly bread sale announced on their social media. The pastas were also rich, well-portioned, and had depth. Service was that of an expensive steakhouse but semi-casual too. I regret waiting so long to drive out and will definitely be back!

The best Italian food in Omaha is in Fremont. The dark or chocolate Manhattan was superb. Worth $16.The cherry tomato salad had a unique dressing and warm sourdough crotons.I had the putenesca pasta. I know of only one restaurant (Sgt. Peffers in Country Club) that makes it. It was very hot and very good.A good house Cab by the glass.Ordered French Press coffee and, it too, was super hot and super good. I paired it with apple cake and ice cream. The whole meal was excellent. My only complaint was no ice with my water, but they brought ice to me. This is an old building with brick walls and a tin ceiling so the noise really bounces around. I'm sure it is loud on a Saturday night, but that's not all bad.
