Second Closet The

I was in town for business but needed a little break so I grabbed some coffee and stopped into The Second Closet. This consignment boutique is in a quaint, older building and you can tell the owner takes pride in what clothes she accepts and how she displays them. I was there during their busy 4th of July weekend and the owner, even though she was busy changing out the displays to match the season, took a few minutes to help me, acquaint herself and even get to know me a little bit. What I liked MOST about this business is that is has a large selection of gently used plus size clothing. And, they are easy to find right by the front door. As a plus size gal I tend to find small, hidden sections of the clothes I need, but nope, The Second Closet celebrates our curves proudly. There were quite a few things I wanted and tried on but some of the prices held me back. They are a bit high for second hand but again, these are high quality pieces from reputable companies. I did take home a very nice, classic piece though. The service was spot on, the dressing rooms are roomy, they have women's clothes, men's, children's, some home goods and jewelry and clearance downstairs. I'll be back!
