Schroeder-Vogel Park

This is a nice little neighborhood park behind HyVee on Center and next to the Elmwood Post Office.It has some playground equipment, benches, picnic tables, tennis courts, and a short, paved trail that bisects the park. Hickory Street off of 51st dead ends in a little cul-de-sac where people park to take dogs for walks or eat in their cars. It's good for walking dogs because you can choose cross country on the grass or stick with the pavement. Doggy duty clean up bags are available at a dispenser. This park was once two small, separate parks named for the prominent citizens who donated the land.
