I bought a fridge in May and immediately had problems with it getting to cold in the fresh food section. Service tech came out and said they didn't even have a part number for the damper valve that needed to be replaced. They were going to exchange it, but they didn't have another one. So I paid a little more and got a Samsung bespoke. When I got that fridge I was told that SAMSUNG was doing a rebate and I would be able to get new glass panels. Which I did order from Samsung. After a few days I noticed things were starting to go bad, checked the temp and this one would t hold the fresh section below 40 degrees, it would also go up to 47degrees for 7+ hours at a time. Called service again, and they ended up replacing it with another one. I bought a calibrated temp logger to keep an eye on how the fridge was operating. The 2nd one, 3rd and the 4th all did the same thing!! Yes I am saying I had 5 fridges in 5-6 months. After I called for service on the 4th Samsung fridge the service manager said they were no longer going to service my fridge and that I need to deal with it because it was "within operating limits" or return it. I opted to return it. Now Good ol Ronnie will not give me the refund check minus the $40 delivery fee "that I agreed to" unless I also return the panels that he didn't sell me. He says they are his because the rebate was used on HIS fridge. And if I want to keep them, he is going to deduct $400 for the panels. I ended up going to NFM and got a different brand, and guess what..... it works like it should!!!! And I can prove it!!!!!I will say they tried to solve the problem, but when i wanted a fridge to keep my food cold i guess that was to much to ask because they just gave up!Stay away from this company, if you have to many complaints or problems they may give up on you also!

I have never been impressed with there customer service.Sold my mom a TV with one component and 2 HDMI connections. She went back explaining she had to connect a VCR/Directv/and an Xbox. (She forgot to mention the wii) 2 different employees told her that she didn't need an HDMI cable. I've got the distinct feeling they tried to snow her.

Disclaimer: I don't like leaving bad reviews for any company. In no way am I implying intent, or saying that anyone working at Schaefer's is a bad person. But I had a really bad experience, and I think it's important to share experiences like this in hopes that it encourages accountability and better business practices. As a middle class customer my wallet carries very little power, so all I really have is word-of-mouth honesty.Long story short, we bought a faulty Asko dishwasher from Schaefer's in 2022 for around $1100 with a 2 year warranty. It would work fine for several months, and then stop working at random. A service tech would come out, try different things, and get it working again, and then it would stop working again a few months later.This was the pattern for 2 years and the issue was never fully resolved. While we appreciate the efforts of the service techs, ultimately the dishwasher stopped working again just a few months after our 2 year warranty ended. Now there's nothing else that can be done for us.When I called Schaefer's (calls service and sales departments) to discuss options, we were given sympathy for our bad luck but told that our options are to either pay for another attempt at repair and new parts or purchase another dishwasher. I was told that others are having problems with the model we bought and it's not even on their sales floor anymore. They said "they don't things like they used to" and recommended I get the extended warranty next time.Wait, what? Why would you be selling products that you know are going to need an extended warranty? How is it right to sell appliances that both sales and service acknowledge are unlikely to last? I'm supposed to risk eating the cost of faulty products you chose to put on your sales floor? If you know this dishwasher is faulty and you're not even selling it anymore, you can't provide me with a credit to replace it now?When I said that I'd have to be shopping elsewhere based on this experience, they wished me good luck with my next purchase and gave no effort to retain me as a customer by finding a solution to our problem.The people at Schaefer's are kind and easy to work with, but this is a 1 star review because they failed to sold me a dishwasher that did not work and failed to resolve the problem. After spending $1,100 dollars and 2 years of hassle I'm back to square one - shopping for a new dishwasher.

We have purchased many appliances from Schaefer's in the past and had great customer service. Recently our refrigerator, which is less than 7 years old quit cooling. We called to have them to have it looked at and they said no one could look at it for almost a week. I understand if I hadn't purchased it there, but I consider that very poor customer service especially for someone who has spent thousands of dollars with them. I will probably never do business there again in the future!

I bought a washer and I admitted I broke the kid with no insurance. at first they said it was going to be $564 to fix it. I waited until I had the money to order it. when I placed the order they said it was free. Schaffer's called me and left a voicemail saying the had my delivery. When I called to have the replacement fixed they said they had no record of me. I talked to 5 different people that day trying to fix my washer. Once I became fed up they refused my service.

MUST READ REVIEW!!! They canceled our pre paid order because we posted this negative review. NO Joke take a look at what happened I put the entire post on Google pages here's the link tinyurl.com/ympax64n You can also find the review on google maps or reviews for Schaefer's. Anyway we purchased a new washer and dryer ordered a new side by side fridge good price great salesman. No issue until it came to delivery. I am not going to get into the he said she said of this but let me tell you this...... our family has shopped at Schaefer's for 35 years with no problems until now! They stopped there own delivery service and outsourced it to a few company's this last one is called College Hunks. (They apparently went through a few). Bottom line is Collage Hunks is a knockoff of 1-800-gotjunk. They are rude and could care less about Schaefer's customers. After doing a little research this is not the first complaints like this. Ronnie Romero the of Schaefer's called and apologized for there rudeness which I appreciate but in short did stand up for there delivery service. I am not sure I want folks like this hooking up any of my appliances or in my home. Are a few so called collage hunks which is BS movers qualified in correctly wiring and installing? Who are they?I told Ron thanks for the 35 years plus but we will be moving on! If they can't deliver using there own people. I don't want collage hunks at my home ever especially after reading all the reviews. Please educate yourself first.This is a franchise and will hire whoever can lift a few pounds. Think they care? Any background checks who knows Schaefer's don't hire them.********†********************************************************Hope this saves someone all the drama we went through.Obviously you won't see bad reviews on there site as they only post good reviews from across the franchise. A friend of mine, who is elderly, bought a refrigerator and was not serviced well. I'm doing this post on her behalf. She bought and paid for a fridge and the $100 for delivery. The delivery men who showed up were teenagers who weren't able/allowed to enter the home to install. They left the refrigerator in the driveway! There was also an additional charge $100 to install the ice maker that she was not told about. Additionally, the old fridge was not removed. Not even set out in the drive for her. By the grace of her neighbors, and 4 hrs of their time, it all got installed. Schaefers should have taken better care to help her understand everything and send folks who could actually install not just drop off.

We will never buy anything from Schaefer's again. Purchased a new oven in December 2017 , it arrived late January, broke by March, Schaefer's gave us the run around for 2 months and finally we had to contact Amana/repairman in Omaha ourselves! Plus pull the oven out of the wall for a new one :(And, guess what, the oven just chipped again!At least it's still under warranty or is it?!...
