Good shrimp tacos..excellent strawberry margarita...salsa too hot for me but has warm cheese sauce for basket of chips. Burrito dinner very filling. Overall nice & waiter very accommodating. Food served up quickly. We ate from NC but will go back when.in the area.

Once again, you have made my day, Sanchez Plaza. The kids loved the huevos con jamon they shared ("This is the best meat I've ever tasted in my whole life!" exclaimed the five-year-old.) The baby gobbled up the fried plantains (when I wasn't snitching from his order--yummy). The three year old hardly made a peep, she was so busy scooping it all in. The shrimp taco from the appetizer area of the menu had fresh avocado and radish and is making me salivate just remembering it, and my husband's big burrito was, as always, super tasty. After all this, we were still out of there in less that 25 bucks including tip. There are no other eats in Hastings that make me feel this happy. The new location looks great and the wait staff's uniforms are clean and professional. Huge improvement in atmosphere.

Sanchez is a great Mexican joint. I have enjoyed every dish I've had here. They are definitely more authentic than you can find else where. Their burritos are HUGE and have wonderfully flavored meats, real Mexican queso blanco, and heavenly flour tortillas. I've also had their quesadillas and they are phenomenal. Grilled and melted to perfection, and the size of your head. Tacos? You guessed it. Also delicious. They have great basics here, so you're going to get a great meal no matter what you order. They have a very unique salsa that is served with chips (both complimentary), and you can top it all off with a Coke in a bottle. A little warning, this place is a bit of a dive but don't let appearances fool you! Go in and order something! You'll be surprised (especially to find this in Hastings).

My mom and I decided to check this place out because the reviews looked good. We got there in the evening and it was creepily quiet and dark outside. No outdoor lighting. But we decided to go in anyways even though it seemed a bit creepy. We go in and we're the only ones in there. I ordered the ground beef chimichanga and my mom ordered 2 barbacoa tacos. After having a pretty lengthy conversation with 2 waiters about ground beef, the chimichanga was not ground beef. My mom loved her barbacoa tacos. The waiter said the shells were homemade. My chimichanga was good but wasn't what I ordered. We also had the white cheese dip and it looked as if it was microwaved. We ordered 2 medium margaritas. We asked for 3 shots of tequila in each. We don't think there was ANY tequila. The waiter felt bad and tried to give us free tequila shots (we didn't take them). For 2 margaritas, 1 white cheese dip ($2.99), 1 chimichanga ($8.99), 2 barbacoa tacos (probably $4.00 total), our bill came to almost $45.00!!!! We were PISSED!!!! And they didn't even give us a written bill!!! I absolutely love authentic Mexican. But I would of rather went to Applebees. Don't go here..... it was a waste of money & time.

To start, this place is kinda weird to enter, the door looks like it's the wrong place...but, I highly highly highly suggest coming here!!! Everything on the menu is delicious, the margaritas are awesome, and the atmosphere is really cozy. Parking is convenient, downtown Hastings is pretty quiet most of the time. Friendly employees, and did I mention awesome food!

Very good lunch. The chips and salsa were tasty and the service was quick. I had a burrito, enchilada and Chile relleno combination which was delicious but more than I could eat at once. I will definitely be back.

Great food. Excellent service. Generous portions maximize your dollars. I have eaten here like six times and all have been great. The al pastor meat is tender and deliciously seasoned. There is also a full and complete salsa bar to spice up your meal. Be sure to try there combination plate.

The food I ordered took awhile to make, price was higher than anticipated, but when I received it I could see shy. The stew was delicious, large chunks of meat and vegetables. good stew broth, very good use of spices. Each cup made two meals. I will go back.

After traveling 5 hours we decided to find food... we were hungry and figured anything would be amazing to fill the void in our tummies. Omg... we walked in And were welcomed by nobody... except a stench. Place was vacant. Being starving travelers who haven't seen civilization for hours we made a nearly explosive mistake. Place is filthy. It smells. We still ordered. Chips are from a bag and salsa was ok but i worried about contracting bochlism from anything i touched in there. And we ordered anyway .. food came, 2 bites in and reality set in. We decided to abandon this plate of toxins. No way am i having explosive travels diarrhea .. gas stations are hard to come by when traveling through Nebraska and there is no way i am crappin in a corn field.

They were all out of cheese, it's a stinkin Mexican resteraunt how do you not have cheese?? Guac is 90% sour cream & 10% guac. Chips are from a bag don't let it fool you. Beans and rice were cold. Rice is unseasoned. Service is very slow. Worst Mexican resteraunt i've ever ate at. HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND. Go to Taco Bell instead.
