To Jim B. of Seattle--I finally tried the carnitas and they are really good. For some reason Mexican food in the winter time just makes a lot of sense.I uploaded a new photo of the facade, because it comes with a story--back in August '08 these two Somali dudes were having an argument outside the place, and the guy who lost the argument ended up with his head smashed thru one of the plate glass windows. This pissed off the owner, but as soon as the insurance money started rolling in, I noticed work starting on the facelift. "Must have been Allstate," said a buddy of mine. "You know, Sanchez the insurance agent."Which made me start thinking about a Welsh village--there you would have Jones the travel agent ("Jones round-trip") and Jones the undertaker ("Jones one-way"); here it's Sanchez the grocer, Sanchez the insurance agent, Sanchez the waste management contractor...you get the idea.So that's an update on my lunch. Tags: Mexican food, Somali fisticuffs, Welsh culture.

This is where I eat lunch/dinner whenever I'm in G.I., and sometimes just passing by on I-80. It's 10 minutes out of the way, but totally worth it.
