Safari Cigars and Lounge

We love coming to Safari for relaxing nights with good drinks and cigars! There's always a game on for the guys, and for the ladies, there are a wide range of cigars for different tastes and yummy drinks. I prefer shorter cigars with flavor and they usually have a good variety of them available. The drinks are top notch, the bartenders make them superbly, and they have an excellent espresso martini! The service is always quick and helpful, the noise level isn't too loud, quiet enough to have a regular conversation without having to yell. As with any cigar bar, you'll have to wash up when you get home and never wear anything you can't wash right away, but it's a good time so who cares?!

This place is super classy and love coming in for cigars. Plenty to choose from in the nice sized humidor.I bought a couple My Father Connecticut cigars and they were super fresh. Inside is super chill with very comfortable seating.Highly recommend... definitely coming back

I love a good cigar bar, and this place has all the trappings of a good one. Comfy leather chairs, dim lighting but not too dim, nice side tables with lamps, a large beautiful humidor with a great selection and an awesome wait staff. But, for it's size, it's way bigger than Jakes in Benson and Havana garage downtown, but the SMOKE! It was awful. Jakes is 1/4 the size of this place and I've never been assaulted by the cigar smoke as I was in Safari. And the drinks were most definitely on the high end, a basic well drink was $11, and pour was on the light side. They do have a great selection of whiskeys and the bar tender was awesome, he was the only male staff, all of the waitresses were cute little things. What's up with that, men can't serve drinks?Will I go back? I have to say no, mostly because of the smoke, I know it's a cigar bar, but dang, don't you have an air cleaner? And the drink prices don't help.

I have been visiting Safari for a few years now off and on. I enjoy their cigar selection and most of the staff gives great service. For some reason the guy that runs the humidor (John?) seems to see customers as an inconvenience and interruption to him smoking a cigar, but occasionally he is friendly. I still like the place.

Their humidor is awesome, I bought two cigars and both were in perfect shape, no cracking or fast burns. The feel itself was really cool, they have an Africa theme like their name suggests. The bourbon options were very good as well and the bartender was super nice. Only issue was with a group at the table next to me. The Army Navy game was on with the last 6 minutes in the 4th quarter and these dudes changed the the channel to girls volleyball. I got it, this is a college town and Nebraska was playing but unless your daughter is playing why the hell would you put that on? I'm a visitor and as a good guest I moved to where the game was on but at least give some warning.

Let me start by saying my reason for 3 stars is lack of ventilation. I find myself in cigar bars from time to time due to my husband's love of cigars and Safari, compared to Copacabana, from a ventilation perspective, isn't great. I get they are kind of "landlocked" in the strip in which they are located, but if you are ever here for an event, your eyes will be watering. Beyond ventilation, I have always found the staff to be amazing - they are friendly, accommodating and will go out of their way to give you a nice compliment. This is also a great place to purchase cigars as they have a wide variety and multiple price points within their selection.

Great place to have a smoke! They have a large selection of cigars in their humidor. The gentleman working was very knowledgeable about cigars and directed us to ones we haven't tried before which is what we wanted. The place has very comfortable chairs, clean ash trays and lighters available all over. I loved that they had an older group of guys there hanging out watching westerns! Life Goals! When I get older that's what I plan to do! I can't wait to stop by again next time we are in Omaha.

Good cigar and whiskey selection, polite employees, cool aesthetics/interior design, and last but not least...the best paper towels ever. Lol
