This was a private club that we were welcomed to as a team participating in the Heritage Classic in town. This place was packed on a Friday night, having an all you can eat style prime rib buffet setup. Dark wood accents and old style dining, looks like they have regular live entertainment. From what I was told it's $90/year to join and you get discounts on food. Cloth napkins and heavy cutlery and silverware. Prime rib was good thanks to the horseradish. Chicken was fried incredibly well and the shredded potatoes. Staff was very friendly.

My $33.00 steak and side at Saddle Club. I asked if it was custom to serve small side dishes and the manager was so rude and said yeah we usually serve it with three asparagus. He didn't care and wasn't nice. Seemed bothered that anyone would ask. I won't be returning the service has gone downhill.

Food has increasingly become worse. No longer impressed. Friends and family have all had bad food and the buffet over and over again has empty food trays. Some terrible sandwiches. Some grey looking, over-cooked prime rib. Some of the most disgusting boiled shrimp. We could go on. Unless things make a turnaround, they are going to have lots of empty tables.

We've been going here since the early 80s and it used to be a nice place for dinner. hostess was wearing sweats which is not appropriate attire for a dinner club. deck is no longer open for seating either. Ordered a NY strip and was served something else. I talked to the manager about it and he said it was what I a NY strip and just hand waved my concerns "away". A NY strip is a specific cut which was NOT what I was served. It's really sad to see what this institution has diminished into :(

The Saddle Club is a hidden gem in the Hall County/Grand Island area. It is a private, membership-only club. That being said, there is no finer place for your next business or family meal. Yearly membership is very reasonable...join, or find a member to sponsor your event. Large windows look out over a small lake which attracts water fowl year-round in this area of the state, which is a national fly-way. Delightful, attentive wait staff and a Midwestern-centric, (great beef and fried chicken) but diverse and delicious menu. Most entrees under $20. Do not pass on the appetizers. A very hands-on manager who is present on the floor, every night, attending to the slightest need and detail. Not urban-fancy, but a nice, white-table cloth place you are proud to take guests. Jeans and suits equally at home, kids will find plenty to eat and see without disturbing other guests. Just hosted a group of 30, appetizers were wonderful, all off-the-menu entrees were served at the same time, hot, cocktail and dessert service was immediate. The manager even held a guest's baby while she cut her steak. Above and beyond.
