RUB - Rotisserie Urban Bistro

Delicious rotisserie chicken!!!Being from CA I'm always on the hunt for amazing grilled or rotisserie chicken. I used to go to a place called Juan Pollo and was disappointed there isn't one here. But this place has the same type of chicken and I love it!!! It's a little different but oh, so delicious. This place is nice, clean and bright. I love looking out the windows and seeing all the plants. We got our food and were given a free chicken soup on the house. What a great way to promote different things on the menu. Awesome customer service as well. With the amazing chicken and all of the different fresh sides, we will be back.

This is becoming a go to lunch option for me. The funny thing is, I really enjoy the food but can't seem to figure it how to order it. "It's not you, it's me" for reals. Every time I go in I'm like "uhhhhhhh, that thing that's like a platter but it's kind of ... ?" Then they mercifully smile and wait for the right moment and just get me the thing they know I'm trying to say. It's very kind :)Anyway, I always end up with a delicious combo of meat, rice, beans, and a perfectly paired sauce. It's that meat and sauce pairing that keeps me coming through the door. Love these sauces! I'd recommend one by name, but then I'd end up recommending another, and eventually I'd be recommending the entire assortment. So probably best is just to pick your favorite meat and ask what they recommend with it. It'll be great! You could definitely enjoy a tasty dinner in this space, though to me it has more of a lunch vibe. Great option in Aksarben!

I had been wanting to come here for a while. I had looked online and the menu looked amazing, but I recall that the price per meal seemed high.Today I went in and was really happy to see that there is a less-expensive option, a rice bowl including beans, a protein, a salad, and a sauce, for about $12. This is a very good value, I think, and I will DEFINITELY be coming back here soon.There are a number of different options available. The food was unique and delicious. It's got this quality I like in food, where it's comforting and satisfying but not overly rich or heavy. It feels very balanced. The flavors were great. I had plantains and carrot salad and a fairly spicy sauce, but honestly EVERYTHING on the menu sounded delicious. The place was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. This is a great local business!

Took a friend to Inner Rail to try a business that already left. I suggested R.U.B. based on my prior experience. I ordered the porchetta platter with beans, plantains and slaw as the sides. Of course I got the spicy sauce. Love this place. Friend was very pleased.

Went with a few work friends to RUB-Rotisserie Urban Bistro in Aksarben Village. It was a new experience for all three of us. It's a holiday week so not a lot of customer traffic so we had no problems finding a table. Staff were nice and quick. The restaurant was clean and up to date. I ordered a rice bowl without rice as I am trying to cut down on carbs. Unfortunately it left me without much to eat. The food was tasty for sure and I had their habernero sauce which was tasty and had a little heat which I enjoyed. Overall for the price and my dietary restrictions this is not a place I would visit on a regular basis. It was ok. I want to stress that the service and food was good just wanted more quantity for the money spent.

Had Rotisserie Urban Bistro (R.U.B) cater a corporate lunch for our organization. Carlos, the owner delivered the food himself. He was very friendly and engaging. Food was very good. We had the rice, black beans, sweet plantains, shredded chicken and shredded beef along with a variety of sauces to include garlic (creamy garlic with parsley) and chimichurri mojo (herbs, garlic and vinegar). All the food was delicious. Speaking to Carlos, the format at the restaurant itself is to pick your meal at the counter. Proteins include bone in chicken, shredded chicken, shredded beef and roasted pork. Hot sides are black beans, French fries, saffron rice, sweet plantains and roasted dripped potatoes. Cold sides include cucumber yogurt salad, honey mustard broccoli salad, tangy coleslaw, pickled carrot salad and quinoa and artichoke salad. Rice bowls are very popular and reasonably priced. Big appetites can grab a platter with a protein and three sides and sauce. They will also do meals for 2 and meals for 4 at just over $12 a person. The food was well seasoned and tasty. Everyone at the event talked about how good the food was. A definite place to try, especially if you are in the vicinity of Aksarben Village. Definitely eat again.

One of my favorite places to visit, I love the variety of opportunities. I got the rotisserie chicken with black beans and rice with a side of plantains, it feels like a home cook well seasoned meal. The service here is always on point, friendly staff love there recommended.

What an absolute joy to stumble across this top notch eatery. Don't let the appearance of lunch trays fool you. The culinary genius of Carlos the owner transcends whatever surface the world class food is placed on. I ordered a bone-in chicken thigh and Porchetta with chimichurri mojo sauce and the house garlic sauce. The chicken was so succulent and flavorful that I got barbaric in picking the bones clean. The Porchetta was crispy and rich and tasted like heaven on a fork, especially when dipped in the chimichurri.For sides I ordered the roasted dripped potato's which are prepared in the rotisserie collecting all the lovely chicken and pork drippings as they cook. The saffron rice was moist and delicious and the sweet plantains were the perfect compliment to end an incredible meal.I may go back again today!

Awesome food! If you want something different here is the place. I had the baked whole chicken pieces, rice, cucumber salad and the broccoli salad. All had great flavor! They have several sauces to choose two from. Don't skip the garlic sauce! I could drink it The restaurant is bright and very clean. The servers are helpful too and can explain how to order and give good descriptions of the food to help you make a good choice. Enjoy!

This hidden gem is super good. I highly recommend the chicken, and the pork. I have eaten at this place 3 times already during my business trip. Sooo good!
