Two dollar domestics and friendly staff. Love to hit this place when I'm in town and feeling like a good dive bar.

Rose & Crown is a pub I randomly wind up at every once in a while. Yes, the patio out back is among the best in the city. Yes, the bartenders are uber friendly and hospitable. Yes it's kind of a $hithole, but in a good way. Come here for stiff pours and cheap beer ($2 cans of Busch all day, every day). If you're extra brave, attempt to find the restroom in the basement. It's quite the adventure, especially when you start to realize you're in the nether regions of an old mortuary. Creepy!Whether you're a dad who simply can't bear one more second at the nearby children's museum, or a couple of party-seeking college students, you'll feel right at home at the Rose & Crown. Not sure when I'll be back, but I I know it'll happen eventually.

I haven't left my house much during this pandemic, or even before that as I am a mom. The other night all I wanted was a few drinks, some decent music, and good vibe. After being disappointed by 3 other bars, I ended up at Rose & Crown for the first time. It definitely won't be my last. I don't drink often so I am the annoying customer who says "anything sweet with no tequila or energy drinks". Both bartenders were friendly and accommodating. Chelsea even conversed a bit with me. The music was good, the rest of the crowd was diverse and the vibe/atmosphere was very chill. Next time I get out, I will go straight to this pub, and enjoy the night.

The first time I visited Rose & Crown was in part because of Ryan T's review. In particular his description of the restroom. A buddy and I were visiting from Kansas City just for the purpose of finding interesting bars and that description sealed the deal for us that Rose & Crown would be on our list.In a touch of irony, both of us forgot to use the restroom while we were there. So I had no choice but to return to Omaha a couple of months later just so I could urinate at the Rose & Crown and see what Ryan was talking about. :)Ryan, I agree!Anyway, I've been to about 25 or so bars in Omaha and Rose and Crown is #2 on my list of my favorites. The bartenders are cool and quirky and the patrons friendly. While it was dead on my first visit (a Friday night), it was packed on my second visit (also a Friday night and about the exact same time). My main kudos for Rose & Crown are for its patio. I've been to hundreds of bars throughout the midwest and It's one of the top patios I've seen.

I only go to Rose and Crown in the warm months of the year for the reason that Ryan already mentioned. No, not the silence of the lambs bathrooms, but the patio! It really takes you somewhere else, where trees have faces and could at any time tear the deck apart if they were so inclined to get up and walk around... (So, the trees grow up through the patio, in case anyone didn't get that).Bartenders are always up for a good time and are more than happy to share their opinions or just a laugh with the patrons. Obviously this place isn't for everyone but that's what I like about it the most.

Oh my dear heavens I have no idea where to start. First off, I'm kind of old and this place is full of eclectic, expressive, young people so I was a fish out of water in the first place. But the mood and energy of the place can't be denied. There is a reason it is packed to the rafters many nights of the week: breakable interior. laid-back staff, and proximity to institutions of higher learning.Domestic crap beers are stupid cheap here, the good stuff is still underpriced and poured colder than some local high-end bars. Shots of the usual spirits are priced about on par with other bars. The interior is somewhat dive-y, but the patio is killer and the live music is tends toward badass. Bar service was pretty fast, wait staff may have existed but if they did I didn't see them. The bathrooms are downstairs where the fresh graffiti paint masks any unpleasant smells haha.I tend to hit dive bars in general, and I prefer the British/Irish variety. While the Rose and Crown has a distinctly British name it has a more local college bar feel to it. I'd go back, but preferably in a group of people half my age :-)

No frills bar with a very mixed crowd. Great patio, where everyone is willing to hang out and chat with folks they don't know. Avoid Richard in the back who is mooch for free drinks. We had high hopes he would be a good storyteller but he just sort of droned on about lots of random stuff and interrupted other conversations. Great people watching, this is really a nice place to see regular people just out for a drink.
