Rosarito's

My husband and I were spending the night at his family's farm about 20 mins from Syracuse, and food options are slim in this area. We decided to give Rosarito's a try.The location definitely is no frills. I called in our order and picked it up at the window, and I don't think I'd choose to eat inside. We each had a burrito and split and order of chips and guacamole. The guac came in a large container and tasted homemade. The chips had a great crunch but could be improved with some flaky sea salt or lime. The burritos were both decent, but certainly on the small side. There are no sides that come with this, such as rice and beans.Overall, this was a decent meal choice for the evening, but I'm uncertain as to whether or not we would return.

We originally set out for another restaurant in Syracuse, only to find that it was closed (seasonal). So, we did a quick search and found Rosaritos as an option. It wasn't the typical meal time, so there weren't any cars, but the OPEN sign was lit up and we could see someone inside. The outside of the building left us questioning if we should stop, but man are we glad we did!!The owner (I'm assuming) greeted us and was so friendly! The menu was written on a white board and we spent a bit trying to decide. We went with the carnitas burrito and carne asada tacos (x2). We also decided to add on chips and salsa, which were $3.50 on the menu, but the owner wouldn't charge us and said they were on the house! Pleasantly surprised as the came out toasty hot!The food was AMAZING! Meat was tender and flavorful. The tacos had guacamole on them...holy cow were they good! The chips came with a red salsa (mild) and while my husband was eating his burrito the Owen asked if he wanted something hotter. He did and the guy came back with a delicious salsa that he makes himself out of roasted vegetables. It was the perfect amount of heat and flavor. Great food, great price, friendly staff. Hope we make it back again someday!
