Fajita Steak Taco Salad

#5 Combo, Good Golly, Its Tamales
Enchilada(cheese & onion)
Nacho Supremo - can't really get to the nachos though because they're buried under all of these toppings, which makes them soggy.
Tamales w/ beans & rice - not the best tamales in the world. Tastes a bit artificial if you ask me, like some store-brand tamales.
a bowl of salsa and chips
burritos and wraps, food

Nothing like a beer with a beer chaser waiting for the togo order.

First time customer to 90th & Blondo Romeo's, Omaha NE. This visit was about a year ago but Just did review today, 5-31-24. Walked in and noticed it was clean, organized and other hints it may be well managed. I arrived at 11:10AM so beat the rush. Seated myself at a window seat booth which was what I prefer. Waited about 6 minutes for a waiter to arrive.A male waiter arrived and being my first visit I had a couple questions, which he endured, appearing to want to be somewhere else with short answers. Now, I'm an old gristly, gnarly tore up ole Marine, so I admit to not being easy to look at. I'm also single - living on vapor with medical bills piling up the VA won't cover. SO......... when I spend some money, any money, I have to be on top of it. It's not great but I can eat at home for lunch for $2.50 and get full including a tall glass of milk. I RARELY eat out because I simply can not afford it, sad to say. Marine Corps life threw me some hardballs physically and now am struggling with the Camp Lejeune toxic water poisoning issues. This also means when I TREAT myself to a lunch I'm really hoping to enjoy the flavor, get full, and pay a fair price for what I got. Someone working with plenty of money coming in may not be too concerned about getting value and flavorful pop for their meal dollar when they eat away from home. I am. My meal arrived, their big Burrito type, though I forget their name for it. It came with refried beans and some rice. Had a pop drink on the side. The burrito was good size but not a WOW good size. (I'm a large man.) The flavor was subdued and the contents devoid of any cook's attempts to make it special in the slightest. Bland Mexican flavor, no diced onions, just nothing. Some lightly flavored meat in a wrap. The several tablespoons of refried beans were simply watered down and out of the can with zero, again, zero attempts to give them any flavor, zip, anything. Literally can refried beans watered down to a semi-firm puddle. I added some salt and pepper and hot sauce at the table to try to give it SOME life. The rice was very lightly flavored with something red with a slight tinge of Mexican flavor. Pretty much, white rice. 100% forgettable. Conclusion: At home, I could have VERY easily - easily and simply made all 3 of these platter items better === and by far.If this is where you are considering dining out, unless you just need SOMETHING, anything in your tummy and get back to work, save your money and do THIS BELOW:Go to wally world and get two of their 9oz single wrapped burrito's up by the deli counter. One for a normal size human. They're $1.79 each and I like the hot one. Buy a can of refried beans with the peppers already in them. 95 cents. Forget the rice entirely unless you have an easy and good minute rice recipe.Empty your can of refried beans into a styro bowl and mix in some dehydrated onions, (or dice up some real ones is best), give it a good splash of hot sauce you like, some spicy Tony Cacheries Cajun salt, and fine pepper, and throw in a fat handful of shredded Kraft sharp cheddar cheese. Stir and let sit for 10 min.Nuke your two burrito's and the last minute lay a couple of those individually wrapped cheese slices torn lengthwise - all over your two almost cooked burrito's. Can almost put the cheese on RIGHT as you take the burrito's out of the microwave but you do want the cheese to melt some.Finish heating the refried beans steamy hot and when you pull em out, throw a few more diced real onions on top with another sprinkling of shredded cheese, and your hot sauce on top. If you have some sour cream, set it on the table for both, along with your favorite hot sauce.Anyhoooo ............ I can and have made my version of my Romeo's meal many times and even at today's prices for food, I can do all that for $5. AND the flavor would POP and quantities I think would feed two normal people!!I paid almost $$ TRIPLE that at Romeo's, for a bland meal with smaller portions and felt obligated to tip my robotic, emotionless, non-smiling waiter $2. I'm out the door for about $17, had zero satisfaction from the food, environment or waiter. AND I burned up gas getting there and home from Benson at $3.35 a gallon. Had I paid the waiter what he was worth, he would have owed me money.Next time I get the urge for Mexican, I'll make my own and save time, money and travel expense and get exactly the flavor and flare I and anyone I know, look for when eating this variety of fare. I do now and then dig out some frozen older burger needing to be eaten and make a nice big batch of burrito or taco meat. That gets lots of real diced onions and cheese added as I wrap it.I cannot speak to their pizza. I won't try it because the business model I experienced is like those of owners about to retire, want max profit while providing little in return for my money, and don't really care if you come back or not. I won't.

I felt a bit like a rude customer when we ate at Romeo's in Bellevue. Bookguy always asks for a booth and I always ask that we sit far away from other people. This was not a problem when we arrived because we were the only ones there. Acouple of minutes later however, two other diners were seated in the booth right behind ours. So much for social distancing! Bookguy and I were discussing if we should move when the woman seated behind me graciously said they would move. I guess we must have been talking too loudly! Anyway, I thanked her and the wait staff was a bit confused and surprised that they moved. With so much space, there was no reason to stack up diners next to each other. Bookguy ordered the Romeo's Special pizza: tomato sauce, cheese, hamburger, pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, black olives & onions. I sampled some and we both agreed it was a good and meaty pizza. I was surprised it wasn't greasy. I had the cheese and onion enchilada with a margarita. As expected there was plenty of cheese and not much onion on the enchilada. I really liked the sauce. The margarita was very refreshing and not too strong, so perfect for me. There really isn't anything on the menu for vegans, so if that's your thing, you might want to skip Romeo's.

The food is so good here! I tend to get nachos, tacos, and their rice and beans here. I am picky on my rice and I really like theirs. The employees and food are great!

The staff are always wonderful and working hard. You never wait long for service or food. I'd love for them to brighten the lights and do a deep cleaning. But overall the restaurant was clean and the food was delicious.

Not a bad little joint! Just note, that the "soft" shell tacos are really the hard, fried shells. The "hard" shell tacos are the corn, and much smaller; probably your better bet for the three beef taco meal. Waitress rocked it. DO NOT get the cheese sauce though. It's straight up faux, and very salty.

So I don't understand the for hate for Romeo's. I think it is much better than La Mesa, Lil Burro and Nettie's. The staff is also nice and I feel like you get a lot of food for what you pay. I have been coming here most of my life with my family. There aren't tons of options in Bellevue but this is the spot I keep coming back to again and again.

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea when it comes to specific food but rarely ever bad service and always welcoming and friendly. Their Dessert tastes amazing. Good place to watch a game when it comes on and the Bar is pretty good for such a little out of the way place. Overall a nice and chill atmosphere most of the time and definitely worth trying some time.

Ok, to me it seems there are some inaccurate/no longer relevant reviews and I'm rating 5 stars to help offset some of the negative ones. Despite it being busy, my beer came out quick and cold, followed closely by my food within minutes. I got the fajita burrito and my goodness is it delicious. Everything is well-seasoned and bursting with flavor. The staff is very friendly and the groups here are families, couples and elderly friends. If you want a relaxing, delicious meal at a very affordable price, then give Romeo's a try. I'm here at 1:30 on a Saturday's while waiting for my tires to get changed. To any naysayers, I'd implore you to give it another shot--they are really trying to provide good service, bus tables quickly, and deliver delicious food. In a relative sense to price, this is 5 stars.
