First time trying Rock and Joe. I've driven by it several times and finally made plans to actually check it out.Overall, I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed. I did look at the coffee menu online ahead of time but it was not fully updated, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I went through the drive-through and opted for an iced honey latte with oat milk. I ordered a medium and it was $8.20. Even with oat milk, $8+ seems fairly steep. For example, my recent obsession is with 7Brew where I can get a medium that has more ounces, more caffeine and a dollar less than here. The espresso quality was fine. I did appreciate that the honey flavoring seemed to be homemade rather than a premade syrup. However, the actual quality of the cup was very thin and flimsy. You'll notice in the picture I was holding it from the top because holding it like normal I was worried it was concave. With the average espresso, and very thin drinkware I'm not sure if I could justify the price. Not to say, I would never come back, I would like to try a hot espresso drink, but I am in no means rushing to go back.

Decided to try Rock-N-Joe Coffee for a late lunch today. Nice looking place, lots of seating, even has a meeting room. They also serve a nice variety of wine. For lunch I tried the turkey, bacon and hummus sandwich. Nothing indicated that the hummus was spicy but it was. A bit too spicy for my tolerance.Additionally my wife had a grilled cheese sandwich which was good but it had red onion in it. This was fine for my wife but we have a friend who is very allergic to onion so we are more aware of it in our foods. The lesson from this is to always verify what is in your food.

Only reason of 4 Stars is honey in small foil packets. Otherwise was real good. Beautiful store with lots shopping options in food, wines, coffee drinks. Really nice seating options.

This is a great addition to the South side of Lincoln. Rock-n-Joe is a coffee/sandwich shop with a drive-thru AND wine - wait what! Yes, stop here for a wine tasting! They are also family friendly and community focused (they support the neighboring daycare often/my son goes there). The space is big and inviting, bright and moody (if that's even possible). I like the vibe - I think the rock-n-roll theme is too subtle, play it up a teeny little bit more. I had a turkey bacon sandwich and it was surprisingly yummy. This included a hummus spread that had a little kick to it and they use quality bread. My coffee was very smooth and tasty, not too sweet or bitter. They also offer artisan flavors, like the cookies and cream I had. Mmmm. The service was also excellent! Pleasant actually. The gals working were all smiles. Another perk is that they now have a stoplight at 84th near this location - in case you haven't been this way in a while. Which makes it super easy to get in and out. Shop local when you can, this is a great spot for hanging out with family, friends, or even tucking away into a corner to get some quality me time.

Great place! We went in for the Nebraska Wine Passport for Whispering Wind (the tasting room was there). I prefer coffee over wine anyway, great music, great staff, great coffee, great atmosphere. ALMOST perfect. Just need more photos of musicians. (Add a Joey Ramone portrait at least! Lol)Will be back!

Great place for a breakfast or evening date! I came in with my husband for sandwiches and coffee and we mentioned it was our first time. We got the sausage egg breakfast sandwiches, a dark roast coffee, and a caramel artisan blender. All very good and great price for the size you get.One of the staff members even came out to thank us for coming in and giving them a shot. Great place to support locally! We'll be coming back to try their wine very soon! It also looks like they have live bands come during the summer. This place is soon going to become our go-to quick breakfast date place!

How disappointing. The coffee was OK. the pie was OK, but what I found completely unacceptable was the customer service. I have been to this place before, and the service was OK (not exceptional), but there is a young woman there who works there that obviously hasn't been trained in the "soft skills" (i.e. being pleasant, being polite, maybe even a smile? At least try to convince the customer that you don't hate working there). I ordered a slice of pie, I was told they would call it out when it was ready (Ready? They only had to slice it and plate it!). After 10 minutes of waiting and wondering, I finally walked over to see my pie sitting there. When I asked the worker if my pie was ready, she mumbled "yea, at the end of the counter". I asked if she was ever gonna let me know? No response, just a grumble. Were they busy? No. Were they even the least bit nice? No. Well guess what-there are plenty of coffee options on this side of town, and I will NOT be going back. Nor will I recommend it. Can't wait for Starbucks to open across 84th Street... I am seeing far too many businesses where employees don't seem to care...at all...about doing there job in an efficient friendly manner. I know there is a labor shortage, but that's no excuse. Maybe it would involve employers paying these kids more? I dunno, but there is certainly room for improvement.

Traveling across the country once more, looking for the best local coffee as we go and we found the spot in Lincoln. The food is good, the coffee is great and the ambience is the perfect coffee shop and wine tasting if you're into that kind of thing. Wonderfully friendly staff and very quick service. Well done.

I was so pleasantly surprised by this coffee shop! I ordered a white chocolate mocha and it had beautiful latte art on it. It was the perfect temperature which I find rare now a days. The Baristas were very efficient and friendly. I also ordered an almond croissant which was delicious! The only comment I would make is that their chairs are metal and slightly uncomfortable if sitting for more than two hours. I love studying, meeting friends, or reading for fun by the fireplace. Everyone should check this coffee shop out.
