Robin's Nest Cafe And Bakery

I came back to Clarinda for my Uncle's funeral and discovered Vaugh's is now Robin's Nest. It has the same small town homey feel. Everyone was friendly and my order was quickly brought to my table.I ordered the Farmer's Skillet and was not particularly impressed but I take blame for not reading the description. It need eggs. I should have gone with my gut instinct of The Lion Tamer.I recommend this little spot.

I've had their breakfast twice now. The first time a red velvet pancake, and a cinnamon roll pancake. The next time I had cinnamon roll french toast. We also tried the biscuits and gravy. Everything is so so good!!! I 100/10 recommend!!

It's obvious that this place uses bet inexpensive ingredients to keep their costs down. It's reflected in the quality of their food. I guess it's okay in a pinch but it wasn't anything special out even delicious. Bacon was burnt because it was so thin.

Great food. Fast, friendly service. Servers are very attentive. I go here rather frequently and have never been disappointed. We always feel welcome and always enjoy the food and atmosphere. Definitely recommend it. They have daily specials. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whatever you choose, it's always delicious!

Any time I visit I always try and go to this small town cafe! I recommend the Farmer's Skillet with a side of gravy

The homemade bourbon pecan pie was absolutely incredible! This family-owned and operated spot is a great find. The staff is really friendly and the view of the town square from the front window is adorable.

Nice cafe. Clean comfortable atmosphere. Pretty good looking Sunday buffet. I had the Redneck Burger and french fries. It was tasty with cheese, bacon, jalapeños, deep fried onions and bbq sauce. My server was prompt and friendly. I will definitely return. Maybe for the buffet.

I'm new to Iowa. I've been to Robin's Nest for breakfast a couple times. The food is always good and the service is friendly and fast. My son turned 13 on Friday the 13th. I wanted a creepy cake to go along with the Friday the 13th theme. Robin's Nest went above and beyond for this cake. Not only was it decorated wonderfully, the red velvet was very tasty. I look forward to many more cakes in the future.

Great food and awesome hometown atmosphere! They have Iowa's best omelette and a top ten burger for a reason!
