Giving this place 2 stars because they were super nice, but otherwise wouldn't recommend. We camped here on a road trip and it was pretty sketchy. Wouldn't recommend if you're camping with kids, but might be tolerable if you're a college age and wanting to party. They had closed down food trucks and plastic port-o-potties. The river was nice, but that's about it.

I think this is one of my favorite parks around Omaha. The owner is great, always putting on different kinds of events for different groups of people (young adults, families, etc.) They have an ATM on site, as well as outdoor showers. Also a permanent canopy/tent that can serve snacks etc. Right by the Elkhorn River. Campsites all along the edge of the river, all have fire pits. Picnic tables everywhere.Beach access to the river (you can also set up an appointment with Uncle Scott's Outfitters and be picked up at this park to drive up river and float down the river for a couple of hours, then you get off at Riverwest's beach. Private park open to the public, so you have to pay to get in.I personally don't have little kids or anything but I have seen plenty of families camp out here.

Riverwest Park is a great place to get away from reality! It's located just a few miles from basic stores like a Walgreens and a gas station and such in case you need essential items! Very inexpensive, and pets are welcome! I felt safe and sound in the area, there were hot showers, rv lots, a beach by the river, nature trails and soccer fields right beside the camp ground! Lots of space to have a fire very cheap firewood for sale there, and picnic tables at every site! They also had a big screen projection double feature one night! The staff is very helpful, and very friendly, conducting nightly rounds to check and make sure everyone is doing okay! Had a great time, it was an awesome camping experience and will definitely be returning soon!
