Double room
Front wall
Who's brilliant idea was this? No toilet lid and hook for clothes, towels or whatever above it.
Ever hear of bleach???
Nasty black ring in toilet bowl. Again a little cleaner and brushing would solve issue.
Gross shower head. Black mildew and mineral deposits. Little elbow grease take care of this.

This place is awesome. I had read a bad review and thought I would just be here for a night. The motel has obviously had a make over from top to bottom. Not just new but very nice design and colors. I ended up staying a week. The manager (Sam) is very friendly and bent over backwards to help me with anything I need, from laundry, to special towels for cleaning my gear, to shifting reservations, etc. If I could give 6 stars I would.

We have stayed here quite a few times in the past 10 years. The place is always clean, friendly and a good value. Nothing plush, but all the basics are nice. We had a reservation recently, which we had to cancel due to a late change of plans. Sam was very understanding and was able to accommodate our changed plans without a late cancellation fee. A very appreciated consideration. Thank you!

I had a very nice overnight stay here last night. Husband and wife owners were more than accommodating! I had "cell phone" issues as AT&T and Nebraska evidently do not get along! I had many incoming calls from family late into the night (it was a holiday). Owners cheerfully connected calls to my room. The room was clean, smelled good and WiFi was consistent! The room had the dated charm of an older motel but I don't consider that a negative. My only recommendation is ......ask for more pillows! I am a reader and like to read in bed. The bathroom area was also clean (and not stained)' I read the other review and I do not agree. This place was recommended to me by a local resident. I was in town for a funeral and after viewing the other choices in town....I made the right decision. I would NOT have been comfortable (safe) at the other "options"!

This is a family owned motel. My wife and I have stayed here several times as my father is in a nursing home here. They are wonderful people and are VERY accommodating for all of your needs. The rooms have been updated and are very clean. I have stayed at the other motels in town and this is the number 1 place for us, Highly recommended. Bill O

-If you're looking for a comfortable room don't stay here!! Wood paneling from the 70's and peeling wallpaper. Toilets are stained and don't flush well. Sinks are slow draining. Shower heads are covered in hard water deposits making a shower less than enjoyable. Beds are hard, pillows are flat and look as if they haven't been changed in years. The only good things about the rooms are the flatscreen TV and the WIFI.-Owners are a husband wife team. Husband is pleasant and helpful. Wife is cold and less than pleasant to deal with. -If you have dirty laundry or smelly work or hunting boots you should leave them out in your vehicle unless you want to hear from the wife and risk being kicked out of your room. -If you want a heated or air-conditioned room to return to after a hard day's work or hunt, don't expect it. The wife or housekeeper will turn off the unit because "its wasting electricity". -Exterminators will spray your room even if you are in it and the wife doesn't care because they have already been paid. -They promise one rate, but the wife will make you feel bad that they "aren't making any money" on the room and try change it on you.-There are no laundry facilities at the hotel. The wife will do your laundry for $1/lb with a 5lb minimum. And if you need a receipt to be reimbursed for business expenses, good luck! You are better off staying at the Cobblestone Inn in Fairbury and spending a little more money, and a little more time on the road, for a lot more comfort.
