We have a high strung beagle who just doesn't do well with boarding generally. Unfortunately, our travels sometimes require that we board her and over the years here in Omaha, we've settled in on Riverside Meadows being our preferred provider for a couple of reasons. First, I just think the owner here cares more about what is happening and is more involved in the day to day operations and how the animals are handled. Second, Daisy (our beagle) just seems to be less traumatized staying here. At another provider, we got sent home with a bed covered in our dogs urine. What this told us is that they were not letting her out enough. That isn't an issue here at Riverside Meadows because they have some indoor/outdoor options where the dog can go in and out. That seems to work better for Daisy. We just feel Daisy is cared for a bit more here. The downside to this place is that they only take cash or check. No credit cards. Also, their entire system of keeping track of their guests and visits is old school paper and pencil. While I appreciate that some people just prefer that, having a computerized system of doing things seems a bit more organized. The last time I came in they couldn't find our "card" with all of our information. It apparently disappeared, though we've been coming here for years now. So, they seem a bit disorganized from that perspective and could use some updating. Overall though, we have been very happy and will continue to be customers. It's way out west but worth the drive.

This is a great kennel for dog or cat boarding. They really care about their animals and the owner lives on site so the animals can be watched 24/7. They even offer swimming options for dogs that love it in their pond that is on site. Great prices & yes it's is a bit of a drive but your dog or cat is in a great environment.

Do not use this place! They treated my friend's dog poorly; the poor thing had multiple gashes! When confronted, the owner was rude and unapologetic! Not only that, but she turned off their Facebook reviews after receiving several bad reviews! If a place like that can't handle the truth, then don't trust them. Please don't take your pets here! They deserve better treatment

Great service. Everyone is kind and dedicated to giving the best experience. They always give you your dog back in as good if not better condition than you left them. A fantastic location with very reasonable prices. They even offer cheaper rates if you need an extended stay.

We have taken our dogs here many times for boarding. We've always been pleased with the way they've taken care of our furry babies. The only reason I give them 4 & not 5 stars is their location. It's a bit of a drive, but worth it.

To all pet lovers and those of us whose pets are part of their family -- Riverside Meadows Pet Motel is the BEST AND ONLY place to leave your loved one while you're away. I've left all of my pets in the care of Susan and her staff for years, and now my children who've grown and have pets of their own are now leaving their pet children in Susan's and the staff at Riverside's care. You'll never have to worry one minute about the care they receive. They will be loved as if you are there. Your pet children will have walks, play time and even a bath if you wish, before you take them home. The staff here understands that you love these furry children of yours and will understand if you feel like calling every day while your away to check on them. Not to mention, if they don't seem to be adjusting to your absence, you'll receive a call from Riverside because they want your pet to be happy. So, the next time you're going to be away from home or your carpets are getting cleaned and you need a place for your furry ones to play, DON'T HESITATE, CALL RIVERSIDE MEADOWS. Lacey B.

Riverside Meadows Pet Motel will allow your pets to be scratched and cut up by other dogs. They also attempt to charge extra for pee walks without authorizing it with the owners of the pet. This only happens because they apparently allow dogs to bully other pets until they won't go to the bathroom in the dog runs. This isn't the first time they have returned pets to their owners without notifying them about the gashes that happened under their watch. They'll return your pets to you and let you discover the injuries on your own. When you mention this to them and provide photographic evidence, they'll claim that those gashes were either present before the dog arrived or happened after they left. They'll also attempt to keep any bones or comfort toys you bring with your pet if you try and hold them accountable for their actions. When confronted with these issues, the employees (including the actual owner of Riverside Meadows Pet Motel) are incredibly rude and will attempt to do everything in their power to avoid taking responsibility for what occurs under their watch.Do not bring your babies to Riverside Meadows Pet Motel. They won't treat them the way your pets deserve. Take your pets literally anywhere else. No one should have to go through what our friend had happen to their dog for the second time at this facility. Our friend decided to give them another chance, thinking the first time was just a freak accident. Apparently this kind of treatment wasn't an accident but instead is sadly what Riverside Meadows Pet Motel considers acceptable when caring for your loved ones.(This review has been copied from their Facebook page. I, along with a few others, posted reviews about this problem. The owners responded by turning off and hiding all reviews for their business on Facebook.)

We've used Riverside for several years now and we love it! Great facility with caring, loving people. Most importantly our full size Goldendoodle loves it! He is 9 years old and often skittish around strangers, but enjoys all his time there and they make him feel welcome every time he RUNS through the door. We board him several times a month (for several years!) due to our aggressive travel schedule and they are always super accommodating. I highly recommend this business and have never had anything but positive experiences!

Riverside Pet Motel neglected our dog, and when we picked him up he nearly died and needed two emergency surgeries to save his life. We used Riverside Pet Hotel for a trip to Colorado and they were to care for our dog for 6 days. When we picked him up they lost most of his belongings including his bed. When we took him home he began vomiting all night long and could not defecate. We took him in to the Urgent Care for emergency surgery. The X ray showed part of his bedding in his stomach. We paid for extra walks for our dog which he was never taken on. He had to have a second surgery and is still not well several days later. I incurred a $3100 bill for the surgery which the owner said she would help with and refund our fee for the stay which was $254. She strung us along for a few days, cashed our check and never helped with any of the bill. Not only did she not properly care for our dog, but she misrepresented what she would do to help rectify the issue. She strung us along, cashed the check and then said none of this was her fault even though it was under her care and she changed her story along the way to suit her needs and protect herself financially.

Made reservations for cat boarding while we were to be on vacation, based on their great website presentation. We subsequently drove out there to be sure we could locate them and also to drop off some documentation. Their web page states weekday hours are 10-6 daily. We got there around 2 PM, place was locked and deserted. Sign posted on door listed different hours than what's on the site. The facility looked much smaller than depicted online. I left a Facebook message telling them what happened then got a call back from the owner. She seemed incredibly annoyed and defensive; so much so that i told her we decided not to board our cat there. Next thing I heard was a dial tone. This place has had some great reviews and I don't want to be unfair. I just did not like the attitude I was getting - she seemed to be someone who is always right- and for what they would have charged us I decided to go elsewhere. They need to fix their website to reflect the hours they actually are available. Not recommended.
