River City is my go to for everything heating and cooling. I purchased a home and they had installed the furnace in the home 20 years before. Up to that point I used another servicer but when the other servicer first cleaned my furnace, a week later it went out. They came back out to do a full inspection but ended up telling me the furnace needed replaced. I called River City for a second opinion and within seconds they spotted a wire which was not fully connected and caused all of my issues. They did a proper cleaning and explained the basics of how I should properly maintain the furnace. The technician suggested with proper maintenance the furnace still had a lot of life left in it. That was 5 years ago and the furnace is still going strong. They service it every fall and don't try to talk me into buying something I do not need. I recommend using River City, I am scheduling my yearly service with them today.

I will never recommend anyone but this company! They really came through for me with an AC install. I had several estimates and they were not just a little lower than the others, they were over $1000.00 lower and didn't try to oversell or try to convince me to get more than what I needed. On install day, they arrived on time. The installers worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up after themselves and actually finished about an hour sooner than expected.

TERRIBLE CHANGES - DO NOT USE, they are NOT the same company they used to be. I am in tears after being hung up on, and appalled at the both the AC service and the CUSTOMER service we have received. After loving the owner, who worked with me on our previous home (we have used these guys for years), we had a (new) technician come out for our annual inspection, he broke our AC unit (had been functioning perfectly before and stopped an HOUR after he left), which ok - mistake, fine - the second technician came in and said he fixed it, showed us the previous technician's mistake, said it was done, but was exceptionally rude while doing it. Then, it broke AGAIN, a day later. While calling to get someone in emergently, I have been spoken to horribly - like I mentioned I was hung up on, spoken to in such a nasty way, and I was also denied my request to speak with the owner, with whom I had previously worked.

So sad to write this review as we have had good service from River City for the past dozen years. During a routine check-up, they found an issue with my humidifier that required another service call and a $250 repair. Since the weather wasn't that cold, it took me several days to notice the static electricity in the house when the heat was on. At first I didn't pay much attention to it until my husband noticed the same issues. Unfortunately, it took me awhile before I called to tell them of the problem. When I did, they informed me that the 30 days had passed for a free review of the issue. It would cost another $100 for them to come out and look at it. I understand policy is policy but there are times when customer service is more important, especially when my humidifier has not worked properly since they supposedly fixed it. I will be using a different company to fix the problem that they didn't.

Just called them up because I needed service. They told me they wouldnt service the house because of an 'attitude issue' from the previous year. Had no idea what they were talking about and they wouldnt give an explanationOnly thing I could think of was that they added 15 minutes to the service charge and I told them there were off and showed them the cameras

Hey RC heating was awesome. After calling several HVAC places to come fix my sick heat pump they came and by the evening my house was nice and cool. Would definitely recommend them again, and Barry, the technican was friendly, professional, finished the job in less than 90 minutes. It was low on refrigerant....I also want to thank the little gal who does the dispatching....we had missed the original appt time by 45 minutes and she was able to have the technican back to our house an hour later.... it was so hot that day and my house was cooled down by that night at 10p. Had AC and heater replaced. Had 6 different bids from other companies. Jeff from River City came out, did not try to oversell me, answered all my questions, and discussed all the options. If anything I had to convince him I wanted a higher AC unit. Install was nice, one day, they had it up and running, and addressed any concerns I had. They were courteous and efficient.There were a couple items that I believed needed addressed, Jeff and Bob came out and fixed everything up as discussed and more. Jeff, Bob and crew did an excellent job.

Bought new A/C unit and at 14 months (2 months out of warranty) it quit working. Service came out and did electronic leak detection. Recommended replacing coil and distributor hose. Service tech. refilled with freon costing $330 and said didn't know how long that would last and also didn't know when the installation of new parts would occur, could be a week or 2 months. Would be $125 an hour for labor and might be 4 or 5 hour job.Got second opinion from technician from another company that did nitrogen leak detector test and bubble test. Was unable to find anything leaking. Something must have just needed tightened. Will not use company again.
