holy moly!! what a great dog park. after being shut-out in Rochester Hills, Mi and Des Moines, IA this place was a breath of fresh air. we were able to take our Nibbles off leash and really let her explore.. it was great to work with her and returning commands. awesome creek crossings and just an overall wonderful experience w/ other locals.cannot make a stronger recommendation to check out this park with yer' furballs. easy access if walking too (a connecting bike path drops you right there. terrific place!! oh yea, and there are low hanging mulberry fruits!! tasty snacks!! my wife said, "grown w/ dog pee"didnt care - i snacked on a handful!!Lincoln, NE - thank you for the hospitality and generous sharing of this space!! made our PCS move a bit more memorable!! cheers!

Great dog park! Lots of room for the dogs to run and to walk around. Well maintained. Pups had a blast! There is a creek that runs through the middle for swimming. There is a main concrete path that seemed accessible for all and then some smaller trail paths.

Rickmans run is a super neat dog park. It's 1 of 2 off-leash parks in Lincoln that you can take your dog for a day of play and leave the leash off. It is part of the Holmes lake park and is on the east side of 70th St. The parking lot is pretty dusty and is not finished, so drive carefully in muddy conditions. This dog park contains two main areas one is a fenced in pen for small dogs, and the second is for all dogs. The small dog area I liked very much, it is mostly all grass and is not very muddy. There are trees strategically planted throughout the park that can cut some of the wind coming through as well as divide up the park into a more interesting environment for a dog to run and play. I thought that everyone was extremely respectful and brought in a dog of correct size, there were no violators on this day. My dog had a total blast running around and playing with about 15 others. The second area we actually decided to clip the leash back on and walk through to check out. There is a well beaten trail or path that winds its way through the second part. There are two or three very large flat areas for dogs to chase each other or toss balls frisbees etc. There's also a little stream/creek that runs through this entire portion of Park and ends in a little pond. Dogs are entirely welcome to go down to the creek and jump into the pond so if you don't want your dog to get wet make sure you have the leash on or have very good training where they come when called. Overall, such a fun place for dogs to play and interesting for the owner too.

We took our lab puppy here for a nice little day trip to Lincoln. This dog park is amazing! It is off leash and features a creek for dog to play in, several paths through trees and grass, and is around 26 acres! This park did prove a little overwhelming for our puppy, and his recall became almost non existent making it tough to keep up. I would recommend making sure your dog is well trained and comes back to you when called prior to going. Overall, great dog park that a lot of cities could use more of!

This surely is the most beautiful dog park I've ever been to. Lots of seating and shade for old folks; lots of trees and water for dogs. Charming trails and bridges. The dogs were all friendly and well-behaved, though a bit damp. I have a 10 pound poodle but we didn't go to the small dog park because nobody was there. But he had no problems with the Goldens and Labs we met up with. We'll be back!

Very beautiful large dog park in a natural park like setting with grass and trees. One of the largest and most lovely parks we've ever been to in the US. Great idea but the execution leaves a bit to be desired. For example, there aren't any lights in the park or parking lot so you're pretty much out of luck if it's dark. Main dog park is for big dogs (or small if you dare) and it is huge! It has some little ponds, tons of trees, grass, hills and land for dogs to run. The 'little dog' park is on the left when you come in the main gates however when you come in there are big dogs and little dogs all in one place which can lead to some not so good interactions and dangerous situations. There has been a few times when my dog has been nearly attacked right there at the entrance. Wish there was a 'little dog' park only door. Once you get into the main park right to the left there is a fenced 'small dog' park which has tons of space to run, grass and trees. On days when the ground is wet it's very muddy at the park. Be forewarned. Your dog will get dirty. The main thing that is upsetting to me as a small dog owner is that there are many big dogs who come into the small dog section. I've heard many of the owners say they don't want their big dogs swimming in the water and getting muddy/dirty/smelly. I can totally understand this however there are many small dogs that are often attacked by large dogs and this is very dangerous.Wish they provided official doggie poo bags but it seems like people have brought their old grocery store plastic sacks which can get the job done just not as effectively. Parking can be a challenge at times as the parking lot gets totally full on peak times or nice days. Sometimes I've been known to drive around and around waiting for someone to leave to take their spot. There aren't any water fountains for dogs to drink from so that would be nice as well.Outdoor restroom facilities for humans would be awesome but beggars can't be choosers.Overall a nice dog park but I think it needs another fenced off area for big dogs so the owners don't have to have their dogs get so dirty in the water. This would also help prevent dangerous situations.

Beautiful dog run, kept very clean. Hills & trees & a stream for the big dogs, a tidy nicely mowed area and with a new circular sidewalk for the small dogs. Picnic tables & doggie bag stations.
