I LOVE their pupusas, in the past they have been AWESOME but only if you plan on dining in. If you plan on doing take out plan on waiting AT LEAST an hour, multiple times we have attempted takeout orders and each time we are quoted a reasonable time, but end up waiting over an hour every single time. Customer service is okay until there's an issue. They basically say get over it or go elsewhere, so I will be from now on.

I got the Caifornia burrito when I went to El Tazumal. For $6 I got more than enough food. Even though it was just a burrito I could only eat about half of it becuase it was so filling. If you don't know spanish or have problems understanding spanish I would not suggest eating there. However, the service was very good and the waitor was very nice. It was great food! The burrito I got was filled with rice, grounded up chicken, and beans. The beans and rice were authenic and the chicken was awesome! The location however was a little scary, I would definally not plan on going to eat there at night however. Very good food!

I have been to el taZumal many times. It seems like it is just a little restaurant on the corner but once inside you discover the taste of the food. It serves both Salvadorian and Mexican cuisines. Once we entered we were attended to by a man and he was quite friendly. I myself ordered three pupsas. These are like little quezdillas except the tortilla is made out of maize dough. These pupsas are usually stuffed with cheese and meat. I ordered the one with cheese it was quite good the cheese was melted well and the tortilla added a nice texture. The restaurant itself has some traditional paintings and other Hispanic paintings. There is a TV to watch although it was in Spanish myself could understand it.. my classmates could not). Along with salsas and other little chili we were served fresh lime this makes it authentic. Overall El Tazumal seems to be a little gem that not many people know about and the word about it should be spread more.
