Stayed here for a business trip. The front desk staff was helpful and efficient at check in. The room was very comfortable. I liked the old bank stuff that was still left behind. It was super easy to walk to old market. The strangest thing was backing into the spot out front we don't do that where I live! The garage is the next building over $20 a day but you pay it through them.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at this downtown location. The staff was incredible and I thought they were very accommodating, friendly and always seemed to be informed about the surrounding area and various events going on.I stayed here for over a month and I'm very happy with choosing this location. The lady that serviced my room was also amazing and I really like that she paid such detail with servicing my room and always very respectful of my personal items.I really liked their outside sitting area in the back with the grill, fireplace and beautiful view. Even though it is in the middle of downtown Omaha, when you are sitting in the back area it is very tranquil and peaceful.

We stayed at this Residence Inn in downtown Omaha while we were visiting Creighton University. The perks about this Residence Inn is that it is close by Creighton and also the Old market area. Many things we were able to do were within walking distance. The building started out as a bank before it was converted into a hotel, so the rooms are much smaller than the typical Residence Inns that we were used to. We had stayed in several Residence Inns including the one on Maui, San Diego, Cleveland, etc. and the rooms are much larger with two beds. It was quite a surprise when we arrived here with only one bed for four people. They do have a couch that pulls out into a bed, but the mattress (if you could even call it that) was very thin and uncomfortable. It's not the kind of bed that you'd want to sleep on for five nights in a row!! The room was very small and not spacious as we used to in the typical Residence Inns. Please remember to bring your own toiletries, as they're essentially nonexistent in this hotel. We also stayed there for five nights, but our room was not cleaned a single time during our stay, we were not brought fresh towels, and we ran out of toilet paper while we were there. I had to go down to the lobby just to ask for more toilet paper. On day three, I specifically asked if our room could be cleaned and to have fresh towels, however on our return to our room at the end of the day, it was clear that housekeeping did not come to the room. They have a complementary breakfast in the morning which was actually quite good, and included fresh fruit. Several hot items were freshly made. You could also make your own waffle. Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available 24 hours a day. I gave this review an extra star for the breakfast. If you're traveling by yourself, or just your spouse and no kids, would probably be an OK place to stay.

Not a fan of the front desk and their willingness to help. But the icing on the cake is a crazy fee they charge you if you lose the card for the parking garage entrance. For a $15 a night space they charge you $250 if you don't return the card. It's a simple card that's meant to be replaceable, typical office key card probably costs less than $5. It's very much an insult to injury if you lose a card. They explained it by saying they lose revenue, but I asked if they run out of cards ever and they said no

Where 0 stars when you need it. This post will be updated because I will be opening a fraud case with AMEX in the morning. This dump aka Residence Inn Downtown Omaha charged me for one night stay for refusing for stay in the room they gave me. Theres a window with a blind doesn't open past that, and there's one doesn't close. This room was 450 before tax for 2 nights. When I asked the front desk about this window they said no one would be able to look into my room cos that's my private balcony. No one from front desk would actually come up to the room with me to see the issues I had. The carpets? Filthy! The front desk kept repeating how they gave me an upgraded room with a balcony and a view. See pics for the balcony with a view, and compare to their website. My check in started with them thanking me for being Titanium, and when I stated that I wouldn't be staying the they snarkily said it's up to me to go wherever I wanna go.The cherry on top has to be them charging me $30 for valet. I was at the hotel for under 30 minutes and they don't have valet service. I left my car out front at guest unloading, checked in, took my bags up, saw the room, came right back down and checked out. Never went into the garage, my car keys never left my hands. Parking at this property is at a parking garage on the next block for $15/day, so how on earth?????????? I reported the hotel to Marriott and await how they resolve this. At past midnight the valet charge came in and I'll be contacting AMEX to report fraud. I'm curious to see what other fraudulent charges they cook up when they check me out of a room I'm not even sleeping in, but one thing is sure, every last penny must be refunded. They say I had 24 hrs prior to check in to cancel my reservation, like I'd have booked that dump if their website was a true representation of the hotel. Update will be posted at resolution. Enjoy the photos of the upgraded room with balcony with a view.

The location is okay. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Old Market where there are a lot of restaurants and shops. But the immediate vicinity was very corporate. The building itself feels old. While there are some cool features like an old bank vault and original floors, the overall vintage feel is not charming. The lobby is difficult to navigate with luggage. The parking is across the street in a public garage. The rooms are clean and a good size, but dated and rundown. The shower especially lacked water pressure and proper drainage. There was only one bar of soap to share between the bathroom sink and the shower (no shower gel either). The front desk staff was really friendly and offered us free parking.Complimentary breakfast was about as you'd expect: scrambled eggs, oatmeal, waffle maker, etc. The selection beyond the basics was limited. But what they had was pretty good. The Hearth Room where they serve the breakfast had a funny little nook called the Most Wanted Lounge, which featured a ~1930s Most Wanted poster and a binder of well-researched information about each of the criminals. We would probably check out another Marriott next time we're in Omaha, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if we stayed here again.

Interesting concept turning an old government building into a hotel. I personally prefer a newly built modern facility. This one is in need of a lot of repairs and renovations. My room had significant damage to the carpet, the couch was broken right in the middle causing a big sunken area, large stains on the carpet, and drafty windows. The staff was friendly and helpful and assured me they were about to do a minor renovation. The location is good as Omaha has done so much work to rejuvenate the downtown area. It is close to the airport and so many restaurants downtown.

In town for a wedding this weekend, the wedding party booked a block of rooms at the Residence Inn. Normally, I'd stay with family, but with the reception so far from them I thought I'd splurge and treat myself to a stay downtown. Boasting historic charm and in the heart of downtown, upon arrival I had high hopes for my room. However, the front desk staff was unfriendly and I was disappointed to find many parts of my room needing some TLC. While by no means a disaster, I was just disappointed with how tired my room felt, considering the price I paid.

Had a horrible experience here. Had to wait long time past check in time for a room even though I checked in early online. The front desk service was rude and did not care to let me know a room was ready for me. My card was also charged $250 for a lost parking pass that was already returned. Overall very poor quality of service from the front desk and bad communication. Wouldn't recommend or stay again.

I will not stay at this property again. The manual door lock was missing a piece where it would not lock. The part that is supposed to attached to the door was missing. IN addition, it appears this part was attached by double sticky tape since there was no evidence of this part being attached with screws. The window shade was broken and I could not raise the shade and there was a used water bottle left in the night stand. There wasn't any maid service on Saturday and I don't care about the bed not being made or any of that. The coffee was not replenished. Yes, I could have gone downstairs and that is the answer, why have coffee pots in the room? Very poor experience.
