Rent-A-Van

My family has rented wheelchair vans on a few occasions from Rent-A-Van. The whole experience, from customer service, to equipment availability, to price, has been much better than the other options in town. Rates are posted online. As of summer 2014, they have wheelchair vans for $95 a day, minivans for $54, and 15-passenger vans for $84. If mileage goes beyond a certain limit, then they charge a little extra per mile. If you're hauling things rather than people, they also rent Penske trucks.Tax and optional insurance are extra of course.Their location just north of I/80 and 144th St is easy to get in and out of.The biggest downside has been the wait. For some reason, it always seems to take a half hour or longer to get the paperwork done and get on the road. At least the office is a pleasant place to wait.

Recently rented a van from Rent-A-Van Omaha to transport my daughter to college. The customer service provided by Dennis and his staff is second to none! I highly recommend doing business with this rental company! Not only do they provide QUALITY service, but as well, QUALITY prices! They have student discount prices, as well as, military discount prices available. As a 24-year Navy veteran, I salute Dennis and his staff for their OUTSTANDING service they provide to the community! I will continue to use their service for my future travel needs, whether it be leisure, business, medical (handicap accessible), events (sports/entertainment), or transporting my child off to and from college! If I could give negative stars I would. Rented a van from here before so did it again. Wrong decision. During check out the staff member was really nice. The initial agreement was showing charges for 2 days. When I questioned it he changed it to 1 day. Drop the van off as required and on time. Check the bank account and what happens??? They charge for 2 days. Call the company to ask and instantly the person who answered the phone said 'the charge is right deal with it'. When I stated I've got an agreement showing one day his beautiful attitude continues by saying 'not his problem'. Long story short words are exchanged and him ending the conversation by saying I'll never do business with him again....Don't worry cause I will never need a van bad enough to deal with this company again.

I'm absolutely floored at the customer service I receive here. I rent a van ONE time a year in September and when I call not only do they remember my name every time, what I need, and my pick up requests but they actually anticipate my call to arrive in September. They are incredibly helpful and the experience is also easy. Not to mention that the vans are always very clean and comfortable. I give them an A+ in every department. -- HOLLI

We have rented from Rent-A-Van for years. We rented many vans for church youth groups and then rented one for personal use. The vans are always well kept and the prices are very reasonable.

I reserved a van and they refused to give it to me because I am 24 I was not informed before hand that I had to be 25 and now at 12:00 on a Saturday I am screwed because I needed a van.

Our church has rented vans too many times to count over the past several years. Dennis and his staff are wonderful, kind-hearted people who care about the best interest of the customer. Never once have I ever felt like they were trying to upsell me, but instead, they always try to get me the best deal for the situation. There have been 2 small issues during the entire time (pretty good for how many times we have rented) and Dennis was so gracious and made it right both times. This weekend I need one more van than I anticipated and Dennis is going to Lincoln to get me another one because all of his are rented! Now that is awesome customer service! Vans are always spotless and well maintained. We tried to rent somewhere else once (Enterprise) and it was a disaster. Lesson learned! Look no further if you need to rent--this place is GREAT!!!

Rent a van is the only place I rent from. They are customer service oriented and rent quality Van's at a reasonable rate
