Regs 7 Mile Steakhouse

If you are local to the Columbus area, you already know about Reg's. If you are not local and just passing through then it is worth stopping and experiencing. It is a convince store and Steakhouse that serves the full menu on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It was voted Best Steak in Columbus in 2021. Wings are on Wednesday. I have only come on a Friday or Saturday, so I don't know how they are.I am in Columbus for a few weeks a couple of times each year and always make it a point to go to Reg's. I don't know about the other items on the menu, I always get the ribeye when I come here. It is consistently good and a good cut of beef. The servers are always nice and treat me like a local. There is a small salad "bar" that comes with the steak and a choice of a potato based or vegetable side. Price for what you get is reasonable. It is always crowded during football season especially if the Huskers are playing away.

It's pretty much a taste of the quintessential Midwestern way of life. The holy Nebraska trinity of beef, beer and football are all elevated inside this steakhouse disguised as a gas station. Steaks are the main focus, along with several other offerings on the menu; but who cares about those--when there is steak. And it is above par compared with other offerings in the surrounding areas. You get a generous serving of beef and a hearty side. There are also usually loud and/or drunk middle aged women giggling loudly in the evenings. But then again, it is central Nebraska.

Nice people and a really good ribeye! Pretty good bar as well. I was passing through and was pleasantly surprised

Never even stop into the convenience store portion of this establishment normally but I decided to try the steak house one night based upon the recommendations of others. That was a mistake, we were treated like we were undesirables, I'm guessing since we weren't regulars, and the food was terrible. Cold, overcooked, and tough my steak was inedible. I will not be back and will actively tell others to avoid this place.

The worst meal I have had anywhere; steak was like shoe leather. Cheesy potatoes were cold.

This place is to die for! I visit Nebraska a couple times a year and always make it a priority to eat here! Never have I eaten a steak so mouth watering and the portion is HUGE! Ribeye is my go to favorite but have eaten their other cuts of steak, chicken, burgers, windsor loin and many different sides. Such a wide varity of choices and even a salad bar. We usually meet up with family and friends and is a fun place to just hang out, grab a drink and play pickle cards! There are a lot of tv's so we always catch some kind of game on tv. It is a Husker and western theme bar/restaurant and is a very casual and family, friendly place. We have always had friendly and fast service! Although the steaks are an A++, the wings on Wednsdsay nights don't compare to wings anywhere else, AMAZING! So many homemade flavors that I wish I could get the recipe for! Steak, wings, beer, family, friends, pickle cards and fun! What more could you want? Only problem is that it's 1600 miles from me but worth the trip every time we do make it back to Nebraska! Oh and it's a convience store and gas station! One stop shop!

I work in customer service....as a manager of an ag based dealership, my customer base is the foundation of my business. I walked in to Reg Steak house tonight to grab some food out of the convenient store before I went home...the dark haired woman with big bangs and glasses says she'll give the sandwich for free since its obviously been sitting in the heater since 6 a.m. I said thank you and got my debit card out as I decided to buy some chips with it. She would not take my card because the total did not add up to $5.00. Ok I get that, but when I had to walk out with $7.00 PLUS in sales, guess she was trying to make the money back for the free sandwich, for her to accept my card, while she was extremely rude and clearly didn't want me to be there...I have been in the Columbus area for about 5 months and keep meaning to stop in and try it out for dinner one night....but that ended tonight. I have stopped in there I don't know how many time in the morning to buy coffee and tobacco. It was a little embarrassing to get sent back into the store 3 times to make sure that I had the right amount so I could use my debit card. If you cant afford the fee for the card machine, I suggest you take a look at your profit margin...but given the reviews it looks like you get plenty of business, so I would guess that this is a lack in customer service. The employee was extremely rude. I will not walk into this business again. I guess that buying chew, coffee, and a hotdog is the best that I will get out of this restaurant....VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I was told that Reg's 7-mile had the BEST wings in the Columbus area. I am a wing lover so wanted to give them a try. Needless to say, this is one of the worst places for wings I have ever been other than Little Cesar's.. The "Reg's secret homemade sauce" was for sure made of a mixture of bottom-shelf BBQ sauce and mollases....WORST wings I've ever eaten in my life. I seriously could not finish them they were so bad (this has never happened in my entire life before tonight). Also, the meat on the wings were skimpy as they were overpowered by heavy breading. Ladies and gentleman, if you LOVE wings, this is definitely NOT the place to go. Do yourself a fovor and head out-of-state to Rooster's restaurant. It is by a landslide the best place I've ever had wings. As a final note, upon check-out the cashier asked me how the meal was which I replied "I think they must have messed on the Reg's sauce, it was so bad I couldn't even finish my meal. (No, I was not rude, just matter of fact). I could tell this rather pissed her off, No offer to make amends, or oh I'm sorry, or whatever. To bad and so sad, lost my business forever. On the way home, I flew into Jimmy Johns to get a "real supper" and was the taste out of my mouth. Please get me some Pepto Bismol. I would give this 0 stars if possible, but that obviously is not possible.
