Don't go for the "jacuzzi room." To small. No elevator. Great going south on I35 to miss KC. Meh, I'll probably stay again. Gentlemen, when you've had days of rain, vacuum up the dirt clods from the lobby and stairs. Did I mention no elevator?

The room was very nice. very spacious. very clean.Bad points - 1) Even with all the lights turned on in the bedroom area, it was too dark to read.2) the water coming from the bathroom sink tasted terrible, kind of moldy. There were no drinking fountains in the public areas.3) The work desk is very small, and it is shared with the microwave.4) The website said that there would be a mini-refrigerator in the room, there was none in mine.5) There were no lamps attached to the light-switch inside the front door.

I had a comfortable stay. The room was clean, spacious, and equipped with microwave, fridge and the bed was comfy. It was quiet, and the setting in Holton is peaceful. Most importantly, the customer service was great! The staff helped me find an emergency veterinarian in Topeka as my cat needed help for a kidney stone. I was very appreciative of the help from Cody. The only downside is that there are not many restaurants in Holton, but there are 2 big supermarkets and a Walmart. I thought the town was sweet.Price was good for the quality.

Apparently they try to save money by not running any air conditioning on the 2nd floor. Checked in after a long day in the heat, but immediately walking upstairs you could feel how hot the hallway on the 2nd floor was. Opened the door to our room and it was hotter in there. They had ac completely off. It took hours to cool it down and it was well after 1am (5 hrs after checking in) before room was cool enough to consider sleeping. Please stay at the super 8 across the street. It looks nicer anyway.

Run, fast. Do not stay at this trash pit of a hotel. You will not get the beautiful room pictured on their website. The room my daughter and I were given:- had a dead bug smashed on the lampshade- had ripped screens so we could not open the window at night- had disgustingly soiled and stained linens and comforter- the room was filthy dirty with dirt/mold in all corners of the room- the bathroom exhaust fans in all rooms need to be replaced. The bearings are spun so that when a guest in a neighboring room down the hall went to the bathroom at 3 am, we were rudely awakened with the horrendous rattling noise of their fan-the electrical cord from the useless lamp with a 15 w bulb was spread across the walking area causing a tripping hazard- all baseboard moldings were peeling off the walls and hanging exposing the damaged drywall and causing an additional tripping hazard- the reservation we booked listed a continental breakfast as an amenity. We were not informed at check-in that no breakfast would be provided- and to top off all this, management refused to issue even the slightest refund to compensate us for this terrible experience.Red Roof Inn, Holton, KS is literally the very WORST hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life of travels.

We've been staying at Red Roof's the past week. This one is the best one yet. The staff is great. They alllow pets. The rooms are clean. We haven't had any problems with wifi. The breakfast is simple...cereal and muffins....but for the prices of the rooms (inexpensive) it's suitable. There seems to have been some improvements in the past year...so set all the negative stuff aside....if you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean place to stay that allows pets...this place is it. :-)

This is the first time I've ever stayed in a Red roof inn, and probably my last! The duvet was stained and had cigarette burn holes in it, the carpets where dirty and had crumbs from I'm guessing past guests! My cousin went down to get batteries for her remote and the front desk lady said "your room is much to cold you need to turn the thermostat up" my cousin asked when she had been in the room and the lady said "well while you where gone I was going to change the batteries in the remote, but I didn't go through your things." The batteries hadn't been changed unfortunately, be cautious when picking this hotel.

Currently still pending litigation with the contractors who built it, Red Roof Inn was open only for a very short time. It very quicky developed massive infestation of Black Mold, and has been roped off and closed. There is a legal battle ensuing between owners and the contractors, where the owners are holding the construction company liable for improperly sealing the subterranian (e.g. foundation walls, basement, laundry room, etc.), allowing moisture from groundwater in, causing the development of Black Mold.
