This was my first time to Red Oak and I am really happy I chose this hotel. I broke this review into a few different categories. Staff:The staff is very friendly and helpful. They helped me find several fun things to do in Red Oak and the cities surrounding it. I definitely loved their helpfulness. Lobby/entrance: The lobby is a decent size lobby with plenty of places to sit at. I always love when a hotel has a porta cochère and this hotel has one! Breakfast area:So a continental breakfast is included with your stay. It's a very minimal breakfast. If it doesn't fill you up you can go to the restaurant they have on site or to the McDonald's right down the street. Rooms:The rooms are very large and spacious for a standard type room! I really enjoyed the extra space. Parking:It's free and they have a very large parking lot! Downfalls:1. There was never anyone standing at the front desk. Whenever I needed someone I had to push a doorbell to get someone to come out from the back. I felt like I was disturbing them whenever I pushed that button. 2. Yes the rooms were huge but the bathrooms were very small. If I had a bathroom that was 1 foot bigger then it would be perfect. 3. Booking this hotel can only be done by calling. Yes I understand this is a small town and not a lot of tourist come to red oak. However it would have been nice if you allowed online bookings on either your website or through Expedia. When I was looking for a hotel to stay at your hotel didn't immediately pop up. I booked your hotel after I talked to my friends and we all agreed to stay there. Overall it's a good hotel and if I'm in red oak I will stay here again.

Me and my husband stayed two nights and we loved it. We stayed on the second floor this time. Had a great experience, friendly staff, very clean room. (For those two days). We liked it there so before we leave back for Kentucky we wanted to stay one more night and we did go back. We didn't know check in time was at 3pm and we were there at 1 pm and the lady at the front looked at us funny and said "you're a couple hours too early. Check in is at 3." So we left and came back and we got room 312 this time(two queen beds because that's all they had open). We took our stuff up there and we heard thumping coming from the walls and floors but we were gone for a long time and came back and my husband had a surprise for me so he had me step in the bathroom while he set it up and he told me to come on out and then he stepped in the bathroom after I came out and he heard a little girl whisper in his ear "dozen roses." The reason that is weird is because he got me a dozen roses as part of the surprise. Well I counted them loud as day and said "He got me a dozen roses." The I hollered at him and said "Baby, you didn't have to buy me roses!" That's when he came out and asked me if I whispered dozen roses and I told him no that I counted them and said that he bought me a dozen out loud. He said the voice was almost like hearing a childs. Then, for us to relax we got in the shower and I had got shampoo in my eye and he was just standing with his back to me in the shower wetting his hair. Then all of a sudden the curtain swayed and it felt like something bit me but I yelled "oww" and he looked and I had 6 scratches appear out of nowhere. It was the worst pain I have ever felt in my life.Today we went back but he didn't want to go back in so I made my mom come too and the manager Marj was very rude. She was basically yelling and asking why we think we deserve a refund when it wasn't their fault and my mom said that we wanted the money back because we were there for less than an hour. But, Marj kept getting louder and tried to be intimidating with us, but we ended up getting half of our money back. She tried to tell me that she thought that Jesse (my husband) did it and we were just trying to take the money back. She was very very rude. I would recommend for families to stay here but DO NOT RECOMMEND ROOM 312! All staff except the manager was very nice and the hotel was well kept up and clean.

A FINE PLACE IN A SMALL IOWA TOWNThis is not a deluxe hotel, but for the small town of Red Oak, it more than meets the need. If you are in the area for business or visiting, this is a clean hotel, nice lobby, rooms are large with moderate decor. It features a restaurant and lounge, and the service is very warm and friendly.

What a great hotel! It is impeccably clean with modern accommodations. There is a relationship with with the local YMCA that gives you free access to the facility for a good workout while traveling. The hotel has a nice restaurant with an awesome prime rib special on Wednesday's. Highly recommend this small town hotel!!

My husband and I booked a room at 1 am as a last ditch effort to find a hotel. We've never been in Iowa before and everything else was booked. The hotel and our room was so clean you could eat off the floor. Also the staff was very friendly and didn't feel like they had to repetitively knock on our door and yell "housekeeping." If we ever go that way again, we will be sure to book a room.

I was generally not impressed. It could be because I'm not from a small town such as Red Oak, but I thought it was pretty pricey for what it really was. It wasn't awful, but I can definitely think of hotels I've stayed in other places that were a lot nicer (both in decor and price). I do have to say that the lobby is beautiful. The event room was pretty decent as well-one of the best that I've seen. Bathrooms didn't have shampoo and only had one small bar of soap. Breakfast was pretty good.

We stayed at the hotel only. the room was very large and clean. The continental breakfast was very good as well as continental breakfast's go. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. We liked so well we have re booked. This is one of the nicer hotels we have stayed at in a small town atmosphere. If staying in Red Oak tis is the place to stay.

I came to Redoak and to RedCoach Inn for a small get away and we are extremely pleased with the accommodations. Where do I start. The facility is spotless and we found it very easy to navigate. Signs are very clearly marked with directions to the various parts of the hotel, pool and restaurant. The décor and appointments are first rate. We started the evening in the sports bar where there were some great craft brews. Free popcorn and lots of wide screen televisions. The bar staff was very friendly and I never had to as for a fill-up. We then proceeded to the restaurant and I had seen a flier that there was a special on prime rib. The Prime Rib was absolutely delicious and the sides were fresh and generous. Everything was clearly home made and very tasty. The pool, jacuzzi area was very clean and is meticulously maintained with plenty of fresh towels. The staff at RedCoach are about as helpful and friendly as I have every experienced. I believe it is a big part of the charm that I felt when I was there and even after as I decided to act on the experience and write a review. If you are passing through or just going to get out of town for a bit, you will be very pleased staying at RedCoach Inn!!

We stayed this past weekend to attend my niece's graduation in Stanton. We were very happy with the service! The rooms were excellent, very clean. For a small town, this hotel exceeded our expectations. We will definitely stay again.
